It looks like you had wonderful weather and had fun even if the sales were poor. I have never tried to sell any thing at an art or craft fair. Blessings to you

Well, you all look beautiful in the pictures and you got to spend the day with people you like. Your display was really nice, sorry you didn't have a good turn out. Maybe next time.;)

I just read one of the other posts and your comment about helping with the yard sale. You could always set up a table there too.

what a beautiful place for the craft show and a gorgeous looking day. Nice display too. Too bad there were so many other things going on to spoil it a bit for the show. Looks like you all had a good time anyway. Thanks for sharing.

Miss Lillian, thank you for sharing this with us - I am sorry you didn't do so well - but it does sound like you had a bad weekend. Hope the two of you (should I say the 3 of you, with Ray) will be visiting with each other many times. Keep us informed.

Thanks to Lillian & Ron I enjoyed the time spent with them at the festival. Although it was a bust as far as selling the weather was beautiful. Now Miss Lillian and Ron know where I live, hopefully we can get together more often. Time spent with friends is priceless.

I do festivals now and then with hubby, he usually does fairly well (he sells knives, bought and custom), sometimes I do well some times not, but we always have a good time and that makes the day worth while....I enjoyed your pictures...thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear you did not sell much. But I am sure it is the economy. I think everyone is scaling back on their spending. It was nice you had a friend with you and your hubby as well. In that respect I am sure it was a good day. Weather looks like it was just beautiful. Hugs, Mary

Scottsboro, Alabama has a trade day every month the First Monday Weekend. The trade day is located around the courthouse. A lot of the items are your everyday flea markets items, but there are a lot of crafts also. If you don't live very far from Scottsboro that would be a good place to set up a table of embroidery. Here are links with the First Monday information

I dont live but a little over an hour from Scottsboro. Used to like going to unclaimed baggage there 'till they got so famous. Thanks for reminding me of their trade day.

Thanks we did have fun, I hope to post some pic's of the lake so you can appreciate our outing even more. It is a man made lake, use to be a swamp, not joke, it is feed by an underground spring and the water is crystal clear when it comes out. It is stocked with lots of fish.

You just never know who will show up and purchase your crafts. When you do another show I hope you have an amazing turn out. At least you had a beautiful day to be out.

now maybe the selling part was a not so good thing, but lets face it...You had fun with each other and got to come back and post to all of us your pictures and knowledge that you did have a good time...So the LORD was with you in that way. I don't think it is going to be good for very many people all across the world...My friend here didn't sell 1 item at one place and only a couple at another place.....so i think it is mainly the economy right now....

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I am sorry for the turnout, but a AL game day? I would say you had quite the competition. Sounds like one that my friend went to - she sold one item. Now that is sad. But, you got out and did it. Good for you. Hugs

Next weekend is the big Arts & Craft Show in Springville, Al. at Homestead Hollar. I want to go to it but not to sell, I would just like to see what is selling now. Their show is 3 days & they have people there from surrounding states also.

I am sorry the show did not go well but you had a good friend's company, you hubby and a beautiful day to remember. I have found that most people are not spending alot of money on things that they do not need. It is a sign of the times. As Christmas gets closer, alot more will be buying last minute gifts but I am afraid most will still be "careful spenders" even through the holiday season. It is certainly NOT your work because you do such pretty things! I feel the crunch and I am not the only one!

Lillian , I am sorry your day wasn't as sucessful as you had hoped . I have had booths in Craft shows when I felt like , Why am I here ? I could be doing so many other things. And I have been in craft shows when I did extremely well and I left thinking I need to do this all of the time. don't let it get you dowm. At least you had a good friend to keep you company. ( and Hubby also ) Maybe you can find another Craft show to sell your items. They also make great gifts. Love Nancy

I'm so sorry the turn out was so poor but as long as you had the Lord's blessing of a beautiful day outside in His garden I'm sure the day was not wasted.

Thanks Meg. There's a big lake right in front of us with a sidewalk partially around us. I was standing on the side walk when I took the pictures. It was a beautiful place.

1) Getting Started
2)Getting Set up
3)Almost ready with my hubby in background on his mobility Scooter

We were first ones there & early so a lot was going on around us. Did we do well. NO! Not a lot came. those who did spent very little. Sara painted a lot of beautiful ornaments & mine was all embroidery work. We were competing with Races at Talladega, Al. & of course the big Football Game which is why I believe the turnout was poor. It was a beautiful day & we had fun.
