thought that it was related to her panocolitis and IBS and thought it was time for her treatments. We went to the dr. on the 18 and she has mono. So she was to be on bed rest for 2 weeks. by the 20 she had a severe sore throat, fevers of 102 to 104, and she could not swallow liguids We went to ER and they pumped her with fluids and said there was nothing else to do, but rest. Two days later she was not any better but worse went back to ER. Pumbed her with fluids and sent her home. Three days later when she is trowing up and not getting better, but worse I took her to the clinic. Finally her dr, said to put her in the hospital. I have been off work all this week. They are running test after test and she had an enlargered liver and spleen. On Top of that she had a heart rate of 130 to 140. Most of her blood work is abnormal and she is in severe pain. They stopped all her regular meds and have put her on prednisone. Today is the first day she has been able to swallow and actually eat a little something. Please pray that her health continues to increase. Not all the test results are back yet. especially the heart tests they did, (echo cardiogram) and blood work. Maybe things will look better tomorrow. I am falling to pieces every night worried she won't come through this illness. Cindy B

Try to stay strong and keep a positive outlook on this. The doctors are doing their best to figure it out and I hope she will be better soon!

Cindy, I will remember your daughter in prayer as well as you and the rest of your family. Our daughter had mono years ago and was very sick also, but recovered and is fine. The bed rest was a big thing for her too. Stay strong in the Lord. God bless, Judy

My Mom used to said that "Prednisone" is a wonder drug. Will pray that your daughter will respond well to the wonder drug and make a full recovery. Take time to take care of yourself as she will need you when she comes home. God Bless you and your family.

I am so sorry. It is so hard to see our loved one in pain and so very sick. The doctors don't like losing patients. Be assured they are doing all they can. Now we Cuties will be praying. You are not alone. Keep us informed. And a big hug to a lovely lady who needs a hug very much.

I will be praying for you but try to keep your chin up, it could indeed be mono (glandular fever) this does effect the spleen and can cause it to rupture, this is why the bed rest is essential. The problem is it won't show in the blood tests until long after you get sick with it, and it does make you very sick. I am very lucky that my spleen did not rupture when I had it because I continued to drag myself to work and take care of my children, but I thought I was dying and wished it would hurry up and happen. I am sure she will improve but it will take some time. We are all praying for her and you. Don't forget to take care of you as well.

Cindy, my dear - it is never easy when one of our loved ones gets so seriously ill. You have done the best that you can at this point - you made she she was seen by doctors and now she is in the hospital - they will care for her and she will get so much better - I will be praying for each of you - you will need to be strong for her - so she will fight this off - OK? She is in God's hand - there isn't a better place for her to be. Love to you.

Thank you Shirlene: Sometimes I get angry with God, but I know she is in God's hands, I only wish I knew why her life has to be so difficult.
