and very laid back. Tonight when I got home from church he was playing a new game that involve a frizzbie. He actually bought another set of games. So we had our "date" night. I'm the competitive one so it's not much of a challenge to play him because he doesn't try to "beat" me, BUT (i'm getting to the good part I promise) one of the games on here is a sword fighting game. (I'm still laughing), it was the best game even though I only one once, we played that stupid game for a good 15 minutes. You actually try to fight your opponent with your sword, and push them back. In order to do this you have to take swings and pounding... Oh my I've never laughed so hard... I highly recommend it, especially if you have anger issues (not that we do, but it is good for that). We both were swinging at each other for all we were worth. I'm going to have sore arms tomorrow for sure. (loading down with Ibuprophen as I type). hehehe... Here is a you tube of the game. I wish I could say we played this strategic but no we went at it full force. I told DH this was good therapy...

Terre, I wish I could have been there to see that. It sounds like fun. It's wonderful that you and your husband still have date nights.

While Rick was in Rehab at the University of Utah - they had this game - not the swords - but the bowling & a couple others - they were trying to get the patients to use the arm and hand that was affected - however - with Rick's right arm and hand immorbile - he had to also learn to use his left arm and hand - so they had us playing a couple of these games - it was fun. I have since asked him if he would like to get one of these for our home - but he has declined - I guess he feels using his left arm and hand isn't what he wants - he still wants the right arm and hand to work. I am so glad you had fun - I hope you are going to be ok - tomorrow you surely will be sore.

We have a WII and really enjoy bowling, archery and several other sport games. (Your Hubby may enjoy the Pin Ball ones, mine love that one). Our grandson has the one you are talking about and it wore me out! It's great having a WII when we have company or class meetings. Never to old to laugh at each other. Hugs, Judy

I was thinking it would be fun to get a WII. Now that I read your posts though, I wonder how safe it is for someone with a bad back?

Karen it was all arms, my upper arms are very sore, you use the muscles more than anything. On my Wii sport there is Yoga, which I don't particularly care for, but I do a couple of their stretches to help my lower back. I'm just limited to anything that has to do with getting on the floor or my knees or sitting on the Wii itself. ( ain't gonna happen) hehehe.

Good exercise - I laughed at this - I bought one for us last year, thinking that I would exercise more. Well, you have to know how to turn the TV on and how to set it up - so, needless to say, I have not used it. But, I sure got a few chuckles out of it with the DH and the grandkids. I still have games unopened. How wasteful is that!

awww. you really should try it. Loads of fun. I love the bowling and archery. Not too good at the frissbie throwing, but that sword fighting was much fun. But your arm does get tired. LOL

My son has a Wii and I can't wait for him to get tired of it. My favorite Wii game is bowling but he has a bunch including the guitar which is fun. My sister through her back out playing one of those games. You might want to ice that arm. lol

my grand kids have the guitar one, but that is one of the ones we don't have. We try to keep it within sporting so the kids get a little exercise. :)
