of saved downloaded designs, without actually opening up the design. I am trying to sort designs and just thought it would be so much easier to be able to click on a design picture. I messed up in downloading a ton of stuff without sorting by catagories and designers from the start-got my work cut out for me now lol. Live n learn. Thanks for any feedback and wisdom cuties ! ~linda~

Before I got Embird (it is not free of course) with its genial plugin "Iconizer" I used a part of the EOS Designer software which is free.
You can show, sort, delete, drag and drop your files with it and it worked very fine.

Catalog it (free trial) from Amazing Designs was great for me but $99.00 was a tad too steep. But it showed up all my designs.(allowed me to throw out the ones I'll never do)Stella

Sure, try d/l the Wings Program, "MY EDITOR", something magical happens, when d/l a design it automatically goes into that program. I bring the program up, click on File, then Browse, then Designs and wella everyone of the designs is pictured. This is a FREE program. Completely safe.

I also use sew iconz from sands computing on a Windows vista system, and have used with XP too. It is a great program, makes looking for designs so much easier, and Steve and Judy are always ready to help their customers if they have a problem. I also like that it is a stand alone program - you don't have to have any other software for it to work. It is $25US but so worth it :)

Embird have an addon called iconizer which works the same, but you have to have the Embird program first for it to work.

Boy, I am glad that I use my PedBasic for the card cause it has a pic of every design I download and with it up I just click on the folder and it shows all pics.

Lucky you, wish my Janome had that-but alas, it does not lol ~linda~

But you have to be in PEDbasic to see the pics, it's so much nicer to see them in Explorer - which Iconiser does (amongst others).

If you can?'t right click,
Drag cursor over until the picture highlights. Then right click and drag to copy. Open word document and paste. Or select all to highlight the whole page then copy and paste there will be more objects to remove but you will have the picture.

Actually, I meant having a thumbprint along with the design-not a separate photo-I actually right click-save picture-and it goes to my pictures folder..thanks tho.

Well - here is what I do. When I save a design to my folders, such as the freebies, I right click on the picture of the design (now, some digitizers do not allow this), and then "save as", and & put in thw folder with the design. These will then show as thumbnails when you look at that folder. I do have several designs that I do not have the thumbnail of, but, I can go into my software and go to the folder to see the designs. That is time consuming though. Good luck.

Actually, what I do now(and have been for awhile) is to do the save as..it goes to my pictures folder-where I then print it out because I want to have binders of designs-that way I can go thru them even if I am not at the computer. But I just thought it would be so much easier on the computer to have the picture right there with the design.

I ve exhausted my ink supply and I only used it for some Projects that I fancied and some quilts.
How do you cope with all your Hard copies of designs and can you find them when you want to sew them out?
TIA Bev

Embird basic & the iconicer module will do that for you. Embird runs $144 US and iconizer runs $20 US. I also use an organizer software from Ann The Gran called Catalog Xpress it lets you put your designs into different categories (and you can copy and put it in more that one category too). Sorry, not sure of the current price for it. Buzz Tools has one similar to ATG. All of these things have free trials - I encourage you to try anything before you buy.

I agree have had this program for over two years and well worth the money. The owner is very nice as well and there are great instructions. There is a free trial for 30 days when you go to the site.

I tried the free trial and loved it so much I didn't wait but a couple of days before paying the $25. It is super! I really like it when traveling as I can be on the road and organize my files. Well worth the price and the owners are great.
