I have a PE 150 and LOVE IT. I use the Ped Basic to transfer all my designs and have never had any problems.Yes the cards are expensive I bought the Ped Basic which comes with a blank card and it is rewritable so that is all I have ever needed.I wish it had a larger sewing area than a 4x4 but other than that it is truely an amazing little machine.

I have a PE-150. Bought is several years ago when they first came out at Walmarts. Its a great 'little machine' for the price, does 4x4 designs and yes it may have larger hoops as accessories. You need those re-writable cards to insert into machine and you need that 'box' to transfer designs from computer to card. The re-writable cards are expensive, someone near or over $50 each. They last a long time, I've had mine since my machine purchase with no problems. Only problem with machine (not a problem per se) is that you cannot slow down the machine or change any settings other than tension, but for the most part its a 'workhorse' machine and I've done so much with it and its given me endless joy. Have fun. Hope you got the manual for it too, it helps to refer to it just in case you run into a snag.....

From what I understand, the amazing box is similar to the PedBasic, you use it to download designs from the computer to a card that fit in a slot on the machine so you can access the designs on the machine. Hope it came with a blank card cause they aren't cheap. I have the SE-350 so I am not familiar with that machine but I guess it is really a decent machine for it's age. It only does 4x4 designs but you seem to have larger hoops and from what I understand that is just so you don't have to keep moving the fabric in the 4x4 hoop but don't know exactly how that would work either. Good luck, hope it gives you hours of fun!
