This is a Hello Kitty Design. Probably is copyright so I wouldn't put it on something for sale.

Just so you are aware Mary,

Licensed designs belong to the clubs or companies that had them commissioned.
There are many places where you can obtain illegal copies of such designs, but you should be aware that if you are unfortunate enough to be spotted by someone from such a company, wearing or displaying or selling one of these illegal designs, you could find yourself the subject of a Court battle, which you would not win.

We repeat this warning frequently to newbies, so if you are prepared to take the risk you need to be prepared to pay the price.

You just never know when someone, who knows someone, who knows someone, spots you and you're gone.

Hugs an roses, Meganne

Oh, there are also sites who DO have licenses to sell such designs and in this case they will display their license for all to see.
If you can't see one, they don't have one.

Nothing to be sorry for Mary. I'm not rousing on you. We don't do that here.
We try to inform people so they don't get themselves into trouble doing something they didn't know was illegal.

In Australian Courts of Law, they don't accept ignorance (not knowing something) as a defence, that may also be so in other countries so it is better to know, then you can make an informed choice to do, or not to do, something.

A lady here in Australia, in a sleepy little holiday village, was selling (amongst her friends at the local bowling alley) children's pyjamas with appliqués of Disney Characters on them. (She had made the appliqués herself and they looked really good.)
To this day I don't think she knows how the Huge Disney corporation found out, but they did, and she ended up in Court paying a hefty fine and Court costs.

You can use "licensed" designs on things for yourself or to give to family as gifts.
You cannot sell them, even at charity fund raisers..... """unless you get permission to do so"""" And you need to have purchased those designs from someone with a licence to sell them.

There are so many rules and regulations on Licensed, Patented and Copyrighted items that unless you are absolutely SURE of what rules apply to the designs you want to use, you are just better off avoiding them.

Your Cute family is here to help and advise whenever we can and it is done with love and understanding because we were all newbies once, so please don't ever take 'advice given' the wrong way.

If you don't ask questions you don't learn and if you don't learn that's when you can end up in strife.
Knowledge is Power and should be shared with anyone who asks.

Now if you can just imagine the tone of my voice to be that of a loving Grandmother teaching you something you didn't know, you will have gained a better understanding of the Meganne who cares so much for all her Cute family. Hugs and Roses, Meganne

These are copyrighted designs, but if you search for them you might find someone who has permission to sell them.

Try at * http://turquoise210 but you have to look far way back. You can also find lovely designs there, also at Needlework but you have to pay sometimes also free if you buy, Yvonne
