I hope I don't get flamed (or banned!) for posting this here ;c)

I was really wondering about which other "big" community-sites exist for MachineEmbroidery. Cute is for sure one of the most active ones I've come across so far, and I do know of a few other international ones, but I'd be very interested in where else (portals/forums/mailing-lists) others are browsing around... both English-spoken and international.

I see you have gotten alot of feedback - but not what you might have been wanting - however - I do know one thing - you are on the CUTE site and to get anything other than love for this site and it's CUTE family - would be a slap in the face of the site owner and the CUTE family. I am sure there are site's that have a community or forum to chat on - however - not one that has as much love for one another and for Miss Veronika for allowing us to be us. I do believe that we were brought here - by the Grave of God to share with one and another - the love for embroidery and then we also fell in love with each other along the way.

I'm with you on this one Shirlene. Hugs Sally

Shirleen you are so right, this is the most amazing site for sharing caring and prayers. this is by far the most amazing community of people I have found on the internet, even if I never get any work done because i can't drag myself away from my friends on cute.

Shirlene, you said so well what is in many of our hearts about "Cute". God Bless all "Cuties". I pray for each of you before I go to sleep. H&*

Thanks for all posters. Now, I've noticed that all mentioned sites are English, which sort-of is to be expected, but as we every-so often get some international entries as well, do you know of similar "big" international sites (of all cultures)? I know a few German and one French site.
Oh, and I _do_ enjoy Cute, but if I love one thing about the Internet, then its diversity.

Yes, rising a forum is sometimes difficult. In particular, when community sites already exist. I've signed up. :c)

http://www.designsbysick.com/foru...

All you need to do is register...it is free. There are hourly freebies and hourly free hunts, + the design of the day. Tons of organized categories for questions, chat, projects, and a non-English forum, etc. AND a moderator!!
You also receive SiCk Points for posting in most categories, for voting at EmbroideryTop, and for voting on the next daily design. It's a great organized forum.
Many who are members on DesignsBySiCk are also members here at Cute.

I've been to a couple of other places, but don't participate in them. I get enough from Cute to feel like I'm not missing out on anything. :) I love my cute family. I appreciate the fact that we have many Christian ladies here and that Veronika doesn't mind us posting personal things too. I notice in other forums you have to stick to one topic. Not here. That's what makes it a great place.

The "intermixed" communication makes it both easy and "lively" as well as "hard to search". I enjoy it - and I enjoy well structured sites as well. Cute is surely more "chatty" than other sites - so it's were I go when I feel so myself :c)

Terre,I think your point about having many Christian people here is one of my favorite things about cute. We can ask for prayers and talk about or faith, it is just lovely.

I have never seen this happen here that anyone was banned for asking a question. However, if you go to Sewforum you possible could be banned if you ask a question because of lack of knowledge. I do not visit other forums anylonger. I went thru many different forums before I found "Cute". Here I have found a wonderful family. Another thing I like about "Cute" is because the owner was smart enough to make it easy for ALL to use. H&*

I'm not sure if sewforum.com has a forum but they have alot of free designs! I still think that cute is still the best and I plan on being a lifetime member if possible!

There are forums on DesignBySick.com - many of us are cuties and sickies. However, I don't go to them much - the board has too many buckets to post in and does not feel as active as this one (and I find this one simpler to use).

Hi there
I am a member of many yahoo groups but I am gradually leaving some as to much mail.
Cute is the only place I communicate with fellow
embroidery friends :-)
I have membership at cute.
plus I shop regulary at opw, secretsof, and stitchary mall stores..
I also have about 10 favorite other designers I regulary visit and purchase from :-)
I dont hunt for Freebies,
But I do digitize myself and admire many others that also digitize :-)
Big hugs from London

Sorry, this is the only one that I am on. If I visit another site it is just to see their designs (especially freebies) and then I am back here.

Nope, I don't browse any sites other than Cute.

Have lots of Groups I participate in, but no other forums.

Not enough hours in the day to even spend enough time here, let alone joining other sites.
Hugs, Meganne
