You know how you get those yellow stains on white shirts that have been hanging in the closet for awhile?-Anyone know how to get those out?

I always scrub with wonder soap, not sure if you are in the states if you can get that there. but it is my big gun when it comes to getting stains out. If it is white with no other colours 1/4v of a cup of bleach and 1/4 of a cup of vinigar in a bucket of water, but don't soak to long.

Soaking in OxiClean works good too.

I have heard that peroxide works for some stains also. Not just blood.

Denture tablets also work to get flower vases and toilets sparkling clean. Bleach can be harsh and eat away at your fabric so use as last resort.

Can the HE detergent work in "regular" washers? I'm not buying a new washer! LOL

Hi I always had dingy undershirts for hubby no matter what I did. Recently got a new washer that used HE detergent. His shits came out so white it was unbelieveable! He detergent is for the new high efficiency washers that don't use much water. They have enzimes in them that eat the stains away and brighten. Try it my wash never looked better even the colored clothes are brighter! Suzanne

And those of us who do wash for men/boys were probably thinking "what typo?". I had to read it again, then almost split my sides laughing!!

Oh-another one I used to remove old "baby" stains from whites-onsies, mostly many years ago. Desolve dishwasher compound in hot water and add clorax-I never really measured-then soak the pcs. overnight-rinse well in a vinegar water solution then throw in the wash as usual. I had hand-me-downs that were so stained and gray looking it was embarrassing-after the soaking, they looked almost brand new.(tough stains like formula, dark veggies, diaper ointments etc.)

wow-I never tried the denture tablets-sounds like a clever idea. I do have a tried and true method-it actually works on colors too, without removing color. We have a product called Greased Lightning-multipurpose cleaner& degreaser-works great. The way I do an old stain is get the stained area wet with water then spray the spot liberally with the greased lightening, set it aside for a day or so to let it work in then throw it in the regular wash.Saved many "going in the trash" tops and other clothing.

Denture tablets work great as a toilet bowl cleaner as well.
