You have my prayers Terre, Don't forget to take care of you, because we women are very good at forgetting that bit, and we are no use to anyone else when we burn out.

Of course I will pray for him and also for you and your Mom. When our parents get older roles are reversed and we become the caretakers.

Thank you Bev. You are so right. It's odd but I think the Lord prepares us for this also...

Dear Terre,

Well, you know you can count on me to pray for you and your familiy.

I know what you are going through as my darling Dad has just recently died. I agree with Shirlene, keep telling your Dad and Mum just how much they mean to you.

God bless you as you continue to care for them. Love and blessings Chris

Terre, dear - this is a hard time for you and your parents - we will most certainly pray for you, him and your Mother, too. It never is easy having to go through this time with your loved one. Stay strong for them - tell them - what they taught you - I will be praying for those that are attending him, too.

Thank you Shirlene. He has "agent orange" which is a type of Sarcoma. These cancerous tumors pop up in different areas of his extremities and he has to have them removed and treatment given. It is all in God's hands. I'm just so thankful that my dad has such strong faith and this truly helps us get through all these difficult times.

I took care of both my parent until they passed away. It was a lot of work, stress, and bonding with no regrets. Hope your dad will do well with this treatment. Will be thinking and praying for a good outcome for him. Anita

Thank you Anita. He has agent orange so it is skin cancer mostly, but God has been so good!It didn't turn up on him until he was 75 or so. It is taking a toll but my dad is a praying man in the serious sense of the word. He is up every morning at 4:00 a.m. praying. Not for himself but for our family and the nation... I know he is in God's hands, but all prayers are appreciated.

My father was a three and one-half year POW and all he had to read was the Bible. Our British Minister would come for visits with my Father - said he knew more about prayer than he would ever know or learn. We had lots to be grateful for and good faith. It is that good faith that helps you get through these hard times.
