A couple of scoops of Twenty Mule Team Borax in a wash load works well.

If you decide to use vinegar or soda DON'T use them together or you'll have a mess of foaming stuff coming out of your washer and this will not be a good thing. The sun does wonder for eliminating odors.

Nok-Out is not only an odor eliminator. It kills mold and mildew. There are plenty of reviews - I just listed one. Good luck with the musty smell. The sun is a free source of bleach and if you can get your garments outside in the sun (inside out if dark material)after the vinegar and baking soda wash that might get the odor gone.

Vinegar and baking soda should get it out after a couple of washes. But I found this produce and it is money back guarantee. It would be worth the try at least if it doesn't work you can get your money back. :)

I get a Febreeze product at the grocery store that you put in with your detergent. Works great for getting the smells out of my sons work clothes

I can even get out smoke smell with a product from the hunting department. It is for washing clothes so the animals don't smell you coming. sorry I don't remember the name of it. I believe my husband gets it from Cabalas on line. Sportsmans Warehouse probably has it too. Good Luck

Perhaps that helps them if they buy a Lavendel smell spray, they spray the clothes thereby, and hang them the clothes whom it are cold on those air. If they a dryer have are it also possible to make and give into the dryer to the laundry a rag with Lavendelduft wet.

if the clothes are washable a cup of vinegar to the wash load helps. You might have to wash them several times. If dry clean let them air out in the open air for a few days(I did mine for a whole week)then spray some Fabreeze on them and place in an air-tight bag again for a few weeks. Should work.Mine were in a cedar chest I found in the corner of the attic. Phew!Even dry cleaning won't remove the musty smell sometimes.Hope it works.

air-use a steamer machine used to remove wrinkles-frebreze spray (online coupon available) then toss in dryer with a wet washcloth sprayed with fabric softner or frebreze hope this helps
