My sister has had scoliosis most of her life. She has tried therapy with heat, physical, chiropractor. Still in pain. Wears a back brace and long line bra to help keep her posture up and that helps her the most.

Marie, my daughter has Scoliosis and a Chiropractor has helped her tremendously. She has not had to have surgery. Your case may be different; but it might be worthwhile to check with a Chiropractor to see if he/she could help you. Ask your friends if they know of a good one. I wish you all the very best. You'll be in my prayers. Hugs, Marjorie

Marie ongelukkig weet ek ook niks van hierdie siekte nie maar dink Marietta het goeie raad gegee. Vind uit wie die beste dr op daardie gebied is, en besoek hom. Moet asb nie met net een opinie tevrede wees nie. May God keep you in his arms and remember that all of us here on Cute willo keep you in our prayers.

I do not know much about this. However, please do internet search and find out all you can. One good site is Mayo Clinic. I often go to their web site and they have all kinds of info regarding all kinds of problems. Ask your Dr for more info. I hope they can help you and
give you relief from the pain. Hugs, Mary

Marie jammer om dit te hoor. As jy n operasie oorweeg moet jy net baie seker maak dat jy n baie goeie dr kry. Come to Cape Town. Here you will find of the best dr's in the country. Strongs.

Scoliosis is treatable. If you need surgery, please get it done. I had a friend who died from complications of scoliosis in her early 50s. She had been diagnosed when she was 4 years old, but could never get surgery done because she also had a cardiac issue. So have the surgery if needed ansd have good quality of life. Keep sewing.

Marie, I have not read anything on scoliosis - however you can always do a search on the internet - sometimes that becomes more of a problem - because you know more and find out things that you don't really want to know - what has the doctor said? The most I know about it has something to do with the spine have a abnormal curvature or a spur like growth. I will pray for you dear one for the pain to ease up. Hugs, Shirlene

Hi Shirlene, The spine have a curve to the left and there is damaged to the nerves or something. I read a lot about it and the worse is that I must go for a op. But I am afraid to go because the physio dr said that this is really bad. So now you must think how afraid I am. Love Marie

Marie, being afraid is natural. Please go and see the surgeon - so they can relieve your mind on the complications and what other options you might have. I will be praying for you to have acceptance of God's will for you.
