Interesting, I had never heard of it.
I like the applique idea.
I used to use small fabric pieces for crafts like covering a round pin or magnet base. I would make it puffy by putting a layer of batting under the fabric. I did most of it with glue not sewing.
I have seen barrettes that use small pieces too.

How many pieces of fabic did you get with one bar? Does it have to be a quilt? If I knew what the rules are that would help.

there are no rules, i just have one candy bar, which has 40 pieces of fabric 2.5 x 5" . . im not an expert with too many sewing techniques, i just dont know what the heck i can make with this!

Clothing stores used to send in the mail samples of fabric and as a little girl I used them to make doll cloths. Look around and see what you need and make something for you.

If it is A fabric piece and you would like to co-ordinate with other fabric, you could make it up as applique.Use as a baby quilt, a cushion cover, place mats, bag.
The lovely flower applique free yesterday, from this cute site, using your one fabric, splashed on over a plain fabric would make a lovely Tablecloth.
Please show us in projects when you're done. The decision is always the hardest part of every project.
Have fun and happy stitching!

Must be a quilting question. I've heard of fat quarters, fat eigths and jelly rolls, but a MODA candy roll I've never heard of---must be smaller than a jelly roll.....

boo, I have never heard of a MODA candy bar - singly or in a set - can you take a picture - so we know what you are talking about - just share it here with your question - if you would.

I did a search and found this:

hey, what i have is out of the milk choc collection which the fatquarter shop has in your link. 2.5x5" ..smaller then a charm pack? i have never ever made a quilt, so im not looking to do that in a week and a full time job too lol.
i was thinking a bag but im not sure how easy it will be to co-ordinate all the pieces

Great sites, shirlener; they have patterns for Non-sew Wrap for those who have little time. Simple 'n easy: love it.
As to the other stuff jelly rolls, fat quarters, moda bars: all fancy ways of dressing up a product! Fun stuff! TU
