I am not sure if you want an engagement gift or a wedding gift so here I go with both hahaha

Engagement gift I love sukiray's idea of a throw or you could make a small wall quilt with the important info.

Bridal shower
Bathroom - monogramed towels, with matching tissue cover and even a TP,
Bedroom monogramed - sheets & pillow cases, kitchen - fun set of matching towels, hotpads, a bottle apron for the dish soap, 2 aprons for them so they share in creating meals
Dining room - coasters, napkin rings, utensil holders
Misc - candle wraps, Definitely a tee shirt that says Bride on it! hahaha

Wedding gift maybe something on the order of an heirloom gift, maybe a beautiful table cloth that can be passed down the generations? Or even a set of placemats that they can use for holidays and special occasions? There are so many gorgeous designs that use fabric and lace.
I am a romantic at heart and for such a special day a set of towels that will be used and get worn out is sad to me. I love traditions and memories.

Wow, lots of good suggestions! I did their names with the wedding date framed, and since I found out their colors were Fall colors I re-did the framed one and added fall leaves at the top. Mine are posted in projects. I am also making dish towels with a design for each holiday, like for Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I posted a pic of a few of those before Mother's Day cause I made my Mom and 2 aunts sets.

Congratulations!!! This is really wonderful news!
A cotton throw with their engagement date-a scene on the beach (embroidery library has some nice ones), and then you can add any upcoming events in their lives. Wedding, honeymoon, first baby, etc.
You got some very nice ideas from other cuties. I'm sure you will find something nice. Best wishes. Sukiray

Oh my goodness! there are so many thing in my mind, you could start by making the ring bearer pillow, so many beautiful designs for this project, a pillow with their names and date of marriage beautiful tiny flowers around it, a larger project could be her veil, towels, a quilt, but the must important thing is what do they need? Congratulations!!!!!! and happy sewing/embroidery time!

Here are posts with links to wedding designs once you figure out what you are making.

I like to make a framed design with their wedding date, place, names, etc, like an announcement. It's best done after the wedding in case there are changes in plans. It could also be done as a pillow.

CONGRATULATIONS, the list could go on and on and on. What do they need - what do they like? Towels of all sorts, pillow cases, sheets, quilts, things for the wedding, pillows for the livingroom, table cloths, napkins, doilies, clothes with special meaning for their honeymoon or after they get back, wall hangings, and gifts for their wedding guest or wedding line.

Congratulations! I made my son and DIL towel sets with monogramming their initials. But I suggest you go to the projects tab and click there and see the many projects that others have done for their children's weddings. There are some great ideas. Terre
