When you do Towel Toppers how can you have a nice look on the back of the work and not see all the ends of threads etc Do you always add a tear away stabilizer on the back

I do as everyone suggests but if i still think it looks bad i add a matching piece of material to the back when finished & i zig zag around the outside of the whole thing!!Carolyn

I saw a tutorial on one site and it showed using fabric on the back before the final stitching.

Like jofrog, I simply match the thread on back so design is reversible *

I've done some corner ones, that were all thread, and just matched the bobbin thread so it is reversible.

I found some instructions on www.adorableapplique.com that shows how to do this. I have seen some of the fronts done in felt. Are they suppose to be felt or can they be done in fabric.

I use the fabric on the back. There should be a thread change for this and use colored bobbin thread.

Depending on the design used, I use a piece of fabric on the back side of mine..
