It kind of flashes and jumps several times before the movement is finished. That is not a very good explanation but not sure how to describe it. Has anyone had a similar experience? Wondering if there is something that can be done to make it operate normally again. Thanks for any help. Nanc

I also got a new laptop with windows 7 on it. My embroidery programs (Editor Lite V4)did not work and I then changed back to XP and now everything is normal again. Hope you get it right.

Application button at top left corner of screen >> Options & Preferences >> Video Card settings >> set Video Hardware Acceleration to the highest your video card can handle, ideally 3.

I have the same problem with my 4-D Emb Software. It goes steady by jerks! That is the best way I can discribe it. Have not figured it out yet either. I also cannot load my designs onto the emb card. It says no card reader available, and I know its there. Will keep working on it, I guess. Hugs, Judy

I had the same problems with my Design Shop software from Melco. It required several changes to the Win 7 setup in order to work correctly. If there is a tech support person for your software you should call or email them. They probably have all the specific settings you need to make. I have trouble finding things in Win 7 since it is new for me. I am not a fan of it.

A couple of things I remember that I had to do is to remove the software and reinstall running Win 7 in Win XP mode. I also remember having to change the admin permissions in Win 7 because my Design Shop would not send designs to my Operating System software for my Amaya embroidery machine.

All the changes are not complicated but knowing which ones to make and where in the world to find the place to make them is the problem. Good luck with it.

Nanc, what I would suggest is to go to the location you purchased the Stitch Era from, and see if there is something else that needs to be done for it to work on your Windows 7. From reading many post on other software sites for embroidery, I notice there is always something there specifically for the windows 7 version. I don't have Windows 7 (only because hubby doesn't like it and he works with computers all day), but it wouldn't hurt to check this out. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Thanks. I checked the Loralie site where I got it and didn't find anything. I'll try some other sites. Nanc
