I would use a rubber band and put a ribbon or tulle around to cover the rubber band.

http://projects.cuteembroidery.co...

i did a diaper cake and used ribbons...you can then tuck extra little gifts in them...like soap, shampoos, rinses, combs, brushes...ets...

bottom layer is the bath towels, 2nd layer is the hand towels and the top is the wash cloths... the top can be sosme unique bath item or fan out another wash cloth you embroidered...maybe a toilet paper roll wgith it embroidered...good luck

I've made a diaper cake which would be about the same ame I used the little push pins you use for sewing. You have to put the pins in far enough so you don't see them. I hope this helps. Arlene

Try running a dowel down the center of the towels, make sure it is long enough to reach a few inches into the top one. I would think that even a paper towel tube might work, just squeeze it down and then bury it, so it won't show.

Why not tie it with a ribbon & incorporate it as a decoration.

GREAT idea! That makes more sense than anything else I have seen or heard!

By the way, I have seen some really beautiful cakes with bows made of icing as main decoration!
