in case she came good and may want to use them. She has been treated with anti depressants and anti Psychotics and has returned to her old self. She has little memory of what has happened to her and is surprised to find herself in a retirement facility and her home and contents gone. Yesterday morning I delivered to her all the things I had been storing, and she was like a kid on christmas morning it was wonderful, we spent the morning sorting her treasures so she can use them again, as I was leaving she said to me "I am rich now" "Thankyou" makes you feel good doesnt it? It sounds like you saved her sanity for her! God Bless you! It has to be scary to realize everything you had is gone and she's in a strange place. You returned to her some of her cherished things so she didn't lose "everything". Perhaps sewing will be good therapy for her. You must love her very much and she is right, she is rich where it counts. She has you! What a very thoughtful thing for you to do for her. Had it been me, I'd have cried and cried because my sewing is so important to me. I hope you two get to spend some quality sewing and together time. You may have given her the best medicine in the world hon, your love and thoughtfulness. God bless you both!

Ruth,
You are an amazing and thoughtful woman! Imagine how your aunt must have felt to have nothing of her life left when she returned to her old self. That discovery would have been depressing to someone who didn't suffer with depression. Now, thanks to you, she has a part of herself back and all of the memories to go with it. She can see and touch things that are familiar and loved. You have done more than give her material things, you have given her part of herself and helped make a difficult transition more bearable. Thank goodness she has you!

Ruth, what a treasured niece you have been to your aunt - she surely was like a kid at Christmas - I remember a few times just like that with my Mother (Miss Loretta) when I would take her things that the CUTE family had sent to her - she was so thrilled and happy - I can just see your aunts face now - thinking of this - thank you for being such a wonderful niece.

How sweet. Ruth, you were an angel to keep her most treasured items. I'm sure she truly appreciated it. Someone mentioned to take her fabric shopping. I agree! She will be like a kid in a candy store. I know I am every time I go. hehehe...:) God Bless you with His goodness, as you have blessed someone with yours. Hugs,Terre

It's wonderful that you did that. Men just don't understand when it comes to things like that. I use to work in a nursing home & anything from home makes a big difference. Glad to hear she is doing better & it's great that you stored that stuff for her. Arlene

How sad life can be sometimes. I think it is so wonderful you saved some of her most prized possessions, males just do not understand how valuable these things are to us women.
I hope your friend is fully restored to health and can truly enjoy her treasures. God bless you for doing this for her.
