I found out today that a digitizer whom I have gotten some great designs from is in serious trouble and needs help. Libi is a single Mom of a severely handicapped son in a wheelchair. Libi has been sick for awhile and has no insurance; her embroidery business is their sole income. She is so sick she can't digitize right now and is afraid someone will remove her son from her if she can't care for him. Several digitizers got together and formed a fundraising site so she can see a doctor. Her son is her world and it will devastate her if she loses him. Please check out the donation site. Meri-I am disabled and trying to stay out of the hospital for longer than a week now with my Lupus and cannot contribute, as my medical bills are rising unbelievably, but I will gladly keep her and her son and my prayers. I know with the great support that the Cuties offer, there are many, many prayers in their behalf. What a fortunate person she is to have a friend as you to champion for them! Charlotte, I know how hard it is to stretch a dollar--when you have one! I know she'd be in tears of gratitude to all of you for your prayers. I'm a member of her yahoo group and I've seen her posting through the years about her son and her difficulties- I admire her for her devotion to her son Mike. She works very hard to take care of him- he is everything to her. Your prayers are so important! I never underestimate its' power to heal so hon, you ARE contributing! Probably more than you will ever know! Thank you!!!

Meri, I received this from one of the yahoo groups and think that it is such a special tribute to Libi - that others care for her so much - that they are willing to promote her website to help her while she is going through such a struggle. I will be praying for her and her son. Thanks for being so kind in thinking of her.

When I heard the news of her situation, it brought tears to my eyes because I know what a loving Mom and person she is. I have 4 sons and the thought of losing any of them is unbearable.
It is you and all the other wonderful Cuties who need to be thanked, I am just a messenger and a Mom.

Why don't we all buy an FSL angel Design from Libi's site and stitch it out to send to Stitchingkate's little spinabifida girl?


Doing this would mean we would be helping both of them.

Meg, what a thoughtful person you are! The irony here is about a month ago, Libi donated a FSL angel to help a father of 3. He had been burned over 60% of his body and she donated one of her most beautiful angels to help raise cash for his family.
My Mom always used to say the Lord works in mysterious ways.
What an awesome suggestion! You are so right that it would help both families in need.
