I have that problem at the beginning also. I have solved it by just rethreading the bobbin when I finish with a project. Do you have a Viking? By rethreading it right away it's always ready for the next design. It works ok until it cuts the bobbin thread at the end of the design. Have you tried this?
I hope you got your problem solved. I have never had that problem but would have repeated some of what you have already been told here. Let us know if the problem is solved & how you did it./Hugs Lillian
Thanks to all for your information

They gave you much help in answering you question. Hope it worked. The public tab should be the place we can ask these types of questions. It does seem as if it has turned into a place for missed designs. Good that some very reliable people visited this section also.
It could be several things. Is this while you are sewing or before you start? Have you cleaned out your bobbin casing? Is it threaded correctly? Does your needle have a bur on it? These are usually reasons bobbin won't come up. Recently I was sewing and ran out of bobbin but didn't know it. My machine has always beeped at me, but it didn't this time. Duhhh, like a dummy I took it to the sewing place and they took it out and put a new bobbin in. I was soooo embarrassed! Who would have thought after all these years of sewing I couldn't figure that one out. But I was new to the machine. Now I can tell something is wrong buy the sound. hehehhe... I'd be interested in knowing what it was. :)
Thank you. I clean my bobbin area after each project. My problem was getting the bobbin thread to the top when I start a design. H&*
Sally, this just might be the place - who knows? Have you taken the bobbin out and replaced it - since you started to have some trouble? Use the up/down needle button - if you hold onto the needle thread and when the needle comes back up - you can pull the bobbin thread up, too.
Thanks dear I will try this. I hate the looks of the back where the bobbin thread stacks up under the design. H&*
I do, too - but it is better than having the ends on the top - but then - when I do FSL - I pull the thread to the top and clip - before I stitch on - so I understand and clip on the bottom when it is finished - between colors.
