Will do Thanks! Want to buy lots of things we do not get in Botswana/South Africa or things that are much cheaper there, i.e 100% cotton, colored velcro, etc! Will buy silk, maybe someone will tell me what to do with it!

Shantung is your heavier silk with nubby threads that runs through it. Very pretty. You can make purses from silk. It is easy to embroidery with and add beads to give it some extra bling. I'm sure you will be able to find something to do with it. If you get the thinner chiffon silk, they do make beautiful scarves too.have a safe and fun trip

18960No tips - I've got Thai silk when a friend went there and Chinese from a colleague of my daughter's who was sent to work there for a couple of months - beautiful, cheap, and me to scared to cut that material!!
