Thank you SOOOOO very much !!! This design is amazing... I widened it, pieced it together several times to make a longer piece and it stitched out perfectly !! Thanks again ... great work !!!
Thank you for sharing. I love the idea of producing ric-rac in any colour I need :-)
this will be a lifesaver when I can't find a matching rickrack for an embroidery project! thank you!!!! :)

I didn't get this first time around but I'm glad to have the design now. Thank you for sharing it.

Hi, Thank you for the rick rak, but I am wondering if you can make a smaller version of this in fsl. I am making doll clothes for 18" dolls, and it would be so help full. Thank you Iva
Oh how cool, never thought of that and I do a lot of crafts!!!! thanks so much!!
Thank you for this nice RicRac design, my question is; can this be sewn as an edging on any fabric as well? Would look cute as a border on a hem for example? Thank you for sharing! Trudy
Thank You Martine, This is a great idea. I will no be able to make my own in the colour that I want. Lyn
wow, i'm new to machine embro and learning the possiblilties of my new toy, amazing design.
I'm new to this -- any special instructions? Do I just cut along the outside; if so, wouldn't the fabric show? Help, please.
I embroidered it on water soluable stabiliser, the cloth type; I used Vilene, but there are different brand names for more or less the same product. After stitching you cut the stabiliser away, close to the embroidery, then dissolve the remainder in warm (or cold -that takes longer) water.
This method is used for all FSL (free standing lace) designs. Thesde are designed in such a way they don't fall apat when the stabiliser is rinsed out.
Does anyone know if I make this longer in software to fit a bigger hoop. Also if I can change the width to make jumbo rick rack or any other width? Thanks
You could enlarge it if you hve the software, just add two together with a very slight overlap and move a bit at the end or overlap the two as far as necessary and use a mask function if you have a 5 x 7 hoop.
I've got a 150 x 240 mm hoop and joined almost 2.5 lengths and it looks OK in my software.
As far as making a giant one: I enlarged the original one to 250%. It went from 2250 stitches to some 10.000 and looked OK. But it lost the ribbed effect.
So give it a try.
Your wonderful creation of this fsl rick rack
can really make a difference in creating a totally
color matched sewn outfit!
This is really great.
Thank you!
Dit ga ik snel uitproberen. Het is niet van "echt" te onderscheiden. Heel leuk Martine. Bedankt.
This is fantastic, I will be able to run two together in the 5x7 hoop.....I can so use this.....thanks so very much.
