television soon.

Julia was the first Deputy Prime Minister of this country and now is the Prime Minister.

She is a SOUTH AUSTRALIAN TOO like me and Raelene and a couple of others. We raise bright people over there hahahahaha!

Anyway can't wait to see what reforms she will bring.

Love and blessings Chris (in personal because it is political)

Hi Chris, yes this is world wide news. Are you aware that she was born in Barry, South Wales, UK? She is the second Australian Prime Minister born in Wales, the other being Billy Hughes - 1915 to the 1920's and he came from Montgomeryshire, a different part of the principality.

Yes - I saw the interview with her parents and then a special on where she came from. Wales is a country I'd love to visit. From what I've heard it is so beautiful.

Another iron lady - i admire them because it is tough in politics especialy for women as you need to leave all emotions behind. Hope it only brings good things for you country.

Isn't it just? I think she will be firm and fair in her leadership of Australia. There are some issues with our huge mining companies she has to face but we'll have to wait to see what eventuates.

It's 6.37pm Thursday evening here(so you are 8 hours behind us)and all the local television stations have had nothing but this all day!!!!!

It's great to see so many women making the move into government.
