Dear Cuties, I need help in following question: Mylar or WSS is this the same?

Can I stitch Mylar designs with WSS? I can´t buy Mylar here in Germany, nobody knows this... Hope somebody can help!

ichbines I ship mylar worldwide and have already sold to Germany, South Africa, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and the UK. I am based in the USA and would be happy to supply mylar to you. The opal one is fully washable and can be dried in the dryer. The link supplied by evajungermann is for the mylar for hydroponics. it is not the same mylar. I hope this helps. I have put a link to my site which explains all about mylar and also has a tutorial along with lots of mylar for sale in the webstore. Regards Sharon

Offenbar ist das Material hier noch nicht so populär im Bastelbereich, vielleicht hast Du ja in guten Baumärkten Glück.
Obviously the material isn't popular for crafters yet- maybe you will find it in a good hardware store.

Nochmals vielen Dank!

Thanks for your support, today I´ve been at 3 hardware stores but nobody could help me, I´ll try it now in Sharons webshop, thank you again!

You can't stitch Mylar designs on WSS, their two different materials.....WSS disolves and Mylar does not....Mylar is like what you see around Easter basket or gift baskets (kind of like cellophane)...hopefully someone will explain better....you can check online for Mylar.

Thank you for your answer I´ve to learn more about stitching with mylar because here in Germany it seems to be really unknown for crafters!
