Did a pewter 3hour workshop yesterday and enjoyed it! Now looking for designs, not very successful up to now!
I have three kids (a big hoppy), go diving with my husband and I do Agility with my dog.
Hugs
ohh I love to play with my kiddies at first, spending time with my horses and my dogs follows closely, I love painting - and for this it doesn´t matter if it´s a frame or a wall :o) I like of course also sewing, and cooking and baking I also like much. And then there a 1000s of things I like to do as well, but I think these are my most frequented ones.
But I have always the same problem: a lot of things I would like to do and so less of time every day !
un saludo
sandra
Being a 'wee bit' permanently disabled(I was told many years ago never let anyone talk me anything I'm not ready for when a dr. told me I had arthritis at 18.The wonderful person was so right!Had I accepted all the dr's said I wouldn't be able to do anything anymore) and not exactly a spring chicken I like to keep busy. I sew, do upholstery work, refinishing furniture, tole painting, make cloth dolls(mostly Raggedy Ann),cake decorating, ME, crochet(mostly donated to hospitals and elderly),quilt(3/4 done with Sunbonnet Sue RW quilt top),love to cook and bake. I was once a Cub Scout leader(Pack 975) and because of limited 'monies' to do crafts learned to be creative. Made box kites and breadboards and a multitude of other crafts from donated wood from new housing developments.Still do these things when the need arises. And dabble a bit with gardening.
I learned to do just about every thing I saw so can do just about any thing but my main hobbies are painting sewing machine embroidery doll making hand embroidery and I love doing tiny hand crafts making doll clothes .I am retired and partial disabled and have to do things I can sit and do .I stay busy most of every day doing something.Lenamae
I have done some kind of crafting since I was a child - runs in the family, mother, grandmothers, all were crafty people. Dabbled in teddy bear making, fabric painting, paper crafts (lots and lots of cards), cross-stitch, rug hook, candy making, quilling, etc. until last year when my friend got me into quilting & sewing (lots and lots of shopping bags) - which I did until I decided to try ME in January - now that is about all that I am doing (people get something embroidered instead of a card now)! That and reading the posts on Cute.
Currently I knit, collect dolls (18" girl dolls at present), research topics that interest me on the internet and read my magazines that accumulated while I was working.
I've done the quilt-thing and most needle-crafts and have a fabric-stash to beat all fabric-stashes to prove it.... and teddy-bears - got hugs everywhere .... and music - piano, violin and concert flute.
There isn't a lot of time left if you take away Machine Embroidery and all it entails.
Oh, nearly forgot - what I enjoy second to ME is thinking up excuses to go off into town for morning tea or lunch with DHDon. I'm pretty good at doing that :}
AlmaG.
I paint - oil and acrylic, cross-stitch, quilt, read, sew clothing for myself and my grandchildren, and I also sew draperies and stuff.
I do all sorts of craft from knitting to quilt making and of course our lovely embroidery both machine and by hand...Sally
Knitting cross stitch card making and designing and making tiaras and other wedding stuff
Reading, gardening and walking (about 6 miles a day with our border collie) take up much of our time, but Mike and I are also very busy with our music. You can see us on Youtube!
How do I find time to sew?
Thanks - I manage to find an hour or so most days. (Unless we are away in our motorhome, that is!)
I love to sew, quilt, make jewelry, bows for little girls, embroider and cross-stitch.Use to crochet, but my left hand is no good after small stroke.
I love to cook, bake, sew, crochet, quilt and newest is embroidery. I also have a green house for the spring to fall months. OF course visiting here as often as I can.
My hobbies are oil painting, sewing, ceramics, porcelain, paper tole, sculpting with polymer clay, reading, and minor crafts.
My other hobbies are all community service related. I work with assistance dogs and theraputic horse riding programs. I hav every limited creativity but I still LOVE my embroidery machine.
I love making quilts for my family, make jewelry, love to bake and cook. Love to work in my herb garden and vegetable garden. Embroidery is number 1 right now. And when all these things are done, I relax with my lap top and come and visit here. Carol
Oops....sorry I clicked comment instead of answer question.....I'm tired and not thinking up to par...just finished mowing the grass and it's hot in Georgia.....sorry.
I like to bake, do cake decorating, read, sew, do various types of puzzles (variety puzzle books), and I am addicted to some TV shows (Saving Grace -- saw the final episode last night; White Collar, Leverage, In Plain Sight, The Closer, and NCIS)!
OK Shirlene, here is a picture of the glass blobs that I make:
Your glass is beautiful....I like to sew, cook and bake, and make simple jewelry....occasionally I knit scarves...Embroidery is at the top of the list.
Thanks! Fusing glass is fun. Never know exactly how it will turn out until you open the kiln.
I'm just too lazy to sell stuff. Mostly I give them as gifts to friends. Playing with glass is like a giant science experiment, so I do it to keep my mind active. Just so happens you get some interesting results.
I enjoy sewing, quilting, cooking, crosswords, and collecting baseball cards.
Joann, I don't have many hobbies. But I would love to see some of yours or learn to do them.
I love to read, but also dabble in oil painting, even though it has been a while. I need to get back into it, for I have had a request for a painting for my grandson's rehearsal dinner from my daughter. Wonder if I will get that done??????
I love to sew, hand embroider, bake, buy sewing and embroidery supplies, check the Cute website and read. I used to love to garden and hike but my 102 year old spine no longer tolerates these activities.
