Is anyone else having problems saving in "jef" format. This has just started a few weeks ago. So now I must save in a different format first then change it to jef.

I save in Jef with no problem. When Jef is not available, I save in Sew.

My format is .JEF and I am not having any problems saving designs.

However, this is the method I use: select .JEF and click on the download button. Click on 'run' rather than 'save'. (If you are using Vista it will probably ask you to 'allow', say yes.) The design should open in your Customiser software, and you can then save it in the normal way by going to 'File' then 'Save as..' and saving it in whatever Folder you choose. I have categorised all my downloaded designs (free or purchased), and saved them in the appropriate folders, eg Floral, Xmas, Cross-stitch, etc. making them much easier to find. I'm also backing them up on a CD in case of computer problems!

Try this and I hope you have more success. Good luck.

Thank you all for the advise. Angela you helped me step by step. I have never had to go through customiser "first" to save a file. That is what threw me for a loop! I did this( with your instructions) and it worked fine. Thank you as now I can avoid all the steps in the conversion stage! Whew Thanks again!!!

Sorry you are having problems with jef. format-that's what I use(the only thing I can use)-I haven't had any problems saving anything. I am curious to know how you save from something different and convert to jef.

My problem is fixed thanks everyone. I do the converting with a program I downloaded free. It is called "Pulse Ambassador". This enables you to download in any format and then convert to yours. I have had it for about 6 months now and it works just great. Hope this helps you.

Just recently I've been finding a problem with PES in DBC when it's already been converted by someone for the digitizer. I first noticed a problem with Lee's (smithandsmith) towel toppers...it's not been a huge problem now that I'm aware...I just download the original and convert it with my own program and then it's fine. ~Rita
