Does anyone have a Janome 200e that they are using? Having a few tension problems & cannot find how to adjust the bobbin tension. Very frustrating!

I have a Janome 350E. It sewed perfectly until I changed my brand of bobbin thread. I was told Janome machines only like Janome bobbin thread, but it is rather expensive compared to other brands. For the same price as a 1,000m cone of Janome I bought a 10,000m cone of Barnyarns own make. I experimented and found that by loosening the bobbin screw just half a turn (like Undecided descibes) every thing now works fine.

I haven't even found where the screw is yet. Bit worried about pulling it apart...

There is no reference to this in the book or on the net which makes me wonder

hi
up front i am relatively new to this and getting help myself

what i have been told is that you should not need to adjust the bobbin tension--and to leave it alone, and adjust only the top tension. that said, there is a screw (tiny) on the side of the bobbin case--lefty loosey, righty tighty-- a little goes a long ways--same as any machine.

good luck

and check out this link on tension

I have checked out the site you have suggested & downloaded the test file. My problem with the tension is I have to have it on 0 as tightening the tension makes it worse which is not correct but thankyou for your help
