change the needle and make sure it is in correctly. I was told to change my needles after 8 hrs of sewing. Well I don't do it quite that much.
I had that problem with my machine. When I changed the needles for the first time. Took it back to the store. Told them it needed repair. The clerk asked if I had just changed the needles. I had. She replied ,"you have them in backwards". Touch wood, no problem since then. Did I ever feel STUPID. Hugs Lynn.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I was still having problems last night when I finally shut it down and walked away. I'm about ready to start on it again this morning. I'll let you know later how it works out! LOL
It also could be the fabric your emb. on I had a similar problem this weekend. It was the fabric. I was stitching on a baby shirt, knit onsie and it was so stretchy that I broke a needle, ruined a shirt. The density was so heavy that it ate a hole in the shirt. I had a time figuring it out. I did of coarse check the bobbin, changed to a new needle, cleaned the bobbin case and then checked the machine on a piece of cotton fabric that did not stretch. And it sews fine. Could be your fabric. So after you clean, change needle and all look at the fabric your trying to emb on. Then if all else fails that we all have suggested then call or go to your repair person or dealer.I hope this helps. Good Luck Sara
i think that you need to change your needle,when i have this problem it is always the needle,gr connie
Don't laugh, I had the same trouble a while ago, almost threw the machine out the window :). Then I changed the needle for a new one, and that was the solution. I hope it is the solution for you too.
A big hug,
Yoriko
when mine did this I checked my bobbin and I had it in backwards another time I tool my embroidery arm off and put it back on it had slipped jusr enough to not let it sew right.

I have accidently put in my bobbin in the wrong way and it causes all sorts of problems - another thing to check.
My idea is change the needle! If that doesn't help, I put my thread on a stand that puts the thread higher than the machine and it doesn't get tangled or caught anywhere. Hope this helps, Judy
put the needle higher so high as you can
and look that he is right
i think this will work for you
i hope it for you
hugs Sonja
I have a Brothers 6500 and had the same problem, I took the machine to a professional, the problem was around the bobbin, he explained sometimes the needle is not properly install and it makes grooves in the metal, the thread get cought around that area, so that how you get this problem. He told me too, that sometimes the grooves are so deep that the only way is put a new plate, I was lucky he was able to fix it at a very low cost. Hope you undestood what I said.
Hi honeychyle - everyone has given the best hints I can think of - But, just a thought here, I have a combination sewing/embroidery machine and when I have had this problem - after doing all the checking and adjusting and cussing, all of a sudden my "oh jeez moment" happens - I forgot to change the presser foot from sewing to the embroidery foot! Just a thought.... good luck! :~) spoolinon
Well you got some good answers. Hope everything gets soved soon so you can get back to sewing. *4U
You got a lot of good advice. Here is a *4u and welcome to Cute. Hope that you have everything sorted out by this time. Hugs. Pls let us know what helped.
Have you 1. changed the needle to a new one. 2. Thoroughly cleaned the bobbin area. 3. Adjusted your tension by sewing on a scrap of fabric.Adjusting till sewing really well 4. Change cotton in bobbin and top. LOL looking down it seems that we all have the same advice. Just do not ask why ??
You have had good advice. I have found that most of the time when I am frustrated it is either thread in the tension area or a dull needle or thread in the bobbin. Occasionally it is a bad section of thread. Don't break a window or the machine. Keep talking to us or phone your dealer. They might walk you through fixing it over the phane. Good luck and welcome to the Cute family. And here is a flower to erase that frown.
I wish I could help you everything gerry said is the advice I would give. Also check the face plate for any burrs. When this happens to me I change the needle, start a new bobbin, vacuum out the bobbin area, and last resort switch thread if need be if I have one that is very close to the color I am using. Sometimes I just walk away for a few hours and everything is fine again maybe the machine gets frustrated too? hahaha
I would say (not meaning to step on anyone) The FIRST thing I would do is change my needle, then try with a different thread..these are the easiest things and usually why thread is breaking...and all the rest of the things psssst, gerry, 02kar and cherylgauteng has said..
I agree with you whole heartedly. Hope the problems get sorted out quickly, as I know what a irritation machines can cause
I did not feel any step hahaha If you read I did say when this happens to me the first thing I do is change the needle which we agree on the next thing I do is change the bobbin and vacuum out the bobbin housing and then I change the thread this is the most difficult step for me because it is so hard to match colors if you are using Madeira thread for example and switching to RA in the long run we are all on the same side helping another embroiderer fix her problem :)
don't throw it out of the window!!!!
suggestions;
* change the tension of the thread
* use another needle
* use another bobbin.
* make sure there are no rests of other threads in the machine, in the way the thread must go.
* use another thread and see if it's the same result.
* try another material to sew on.
and if all of this does not work out:
just throw it our of the window.
NO !!! just a joke: no throwing!
> go to a dealer and ask him or her!
good luck hope the machine will go acting normal.
keep us updated.
