I took a photo of one of my illustrations (rough) on how to pull a band through with a piece of string. I hope this helps. I have a right hand that keeps on getting hurt (I fall a lot. LOL) and this way you can pull through just about everything.
Hope this helps.

Hope the photo come's up well enough.

Hugs and God bless

Marietta

Yes, I have one. It's a long, skinny, metal stick with a hook at the end that can grab the end of the tube so you can pull it through. Here is a link.

Are you using the mechanical devises to help in the turning? Look for sources on Google or Bing.

Hi, They sell metal tubes in different sizes that you put your tube on then grab the bottom with a tool that it comes with and pull it back through the inside of the that metal tube and it turns your tube quickly. They also have something that grabs the end of your tube, locks in with a small ring and you feed it back through the tube and it turns the tube more easily. Check out some of the on line sewing places like nancys notions and take a look at them. They are much easier than killing your fingers and they are not expensive. Good luck! Suzanne

If you have no prior health issues, or kidney problems, why not take some Advil or Ibuprofen? This drug is an antiinflammatory. Also alternate, heat and cold, but no more than 20 minutes per hour. Start with heat, and then in a few days if still sore use cold. Just becareful and don't burn yourself.
