My Brother SE-270D tells me that the card is not right one for it, but it is the card I have used for 2 years. I did not drop it. Any idea why it suddenly is not recognized by the machine?

Are these cards you have bought from brother with the designs on or blank cards that you do yourself on PED Basic.

Perhaps you didn't realize that the hoop setting was different on this design - check it and reload your design. Good luck.

THANK YOU. That was what had happened. I reloaded it with the correct setting and it works. Praise the Lord!

I had the same problem with my PE Basic card, it was the design, too large for my 4x4 machine.

I had my PED Basic set for a size that was larger than my machine would take. I got a message that the card was not right for my machine. When I changed the size and reloaded the card, it worked fine. I hope that yoour pproblem is as simple as mine. It was going to take about three weeks and quite expensive to get a replacement. Joyce

Are you sure the design you want to use is the correct size? Or is the design the right version of PES format you need for the machine?

I have this machine and if I remember correctly it needs version 1 or 2. So if the design you are trying to use is say version 6 pes it won't work. So you would have to convert the design to the version you need. Good luck!

If switch off the machine doesn't work - it seams to be the moment to buy a new memory card. The magnetic cover can loose over the time as a floppy.
Hope you can find a new one quickly or an other good solution .

Thanks - I was afraid it could be that. None of the cards I have work. One is only two months old though. I guess I must take it in to have it serviced.

Hmmm--if none of your cards work, I'd have your machine checked out at the dealer. It is unlikely ALL your cards would not work, one might go bad, but not all of them.

Could be the memory on the card went bad. USB sticks can go bad and become unreadable, I would think it could happen to any memory card.
