I have been without them for 3 weeks and it will probably be another 3 weeks before I will be set up again. The only good thing about moving is I will have a new sewing room and be better organize. So can you all feel my pain.

I miss my machines.

I feel your pain, only in a different way. My computer that I used to run my machine died, and I cannot find my original operating software. Sooo, I finally broke down and coughed up the hundred dollars for a replacement. And, it wouldn't work in my new laptop. Grrrrrr. I've been trying since before Easter to get that corrected. Even the Singer company couldn't figure it out, so they've asked me to send the disk back to them (again), and they will reburn it for me. Sigh. So, right now, I can look, but I can't embroider!

I can REALLY feel your pain! I went through this in November of last year. Moved from San Diego to Texas and all my stuff was in storage with the movers for a month. Ugh!

There is light at the end of the tunnel. ;-)

Oh can I feel your pain! We moved 1700 miles last October. I was in a panic. One thing we learned was to have my multi-needle embroidery machine crated. Boxed is not safe enough. And we took my sewing/embroidery machine with us in the SUV. I wish you Godspeed. Once you have the basics set up in the house, set up your most needed machine for you sanity.

My plan is once we move into a new house, after setting up my kitchen, my sewing room will be next. At lease with one of my machines.

I think I can... We have to move out of the company house (newly appointed CEO wants to move in) and today they will do an assessment i.t.o furniture, and want to store everything, move us into an "executive suite" (read hotel room), while they renovate another company house for us. Time? Their estimate 2 months - my guess MUCH longer!

I feel your pain. My husband wants to sell the house we have lived in for ten years and get something in the country so we can have chickens. Love the chicken idea just not the move and my home.

We I moved from NC to UT - the last thing that was packed was my machine and the first thing unpacked was my machine. Hehehe!

Ohh - I know - moving from one place to another - even if it is in the same house is terrible for creative people.
At first you will not find all things at once when you have your new place, searching is the normal thing.
but than - if you have a new organization in everything it's so nice! To have all things at the right place takes time - but it's also a chance to look what you need and what not!!??? Enjoy planning the new room!
I made a file at my computer for designs I can't stitch out now, it is named:"Soon". What do you think??
collect files for the time in the new room under "soon-new"
Send you a flower! God bless you by moving, which is always a challenge

That is a great idea. Thankyou. The only problem is after creating the designs, which to stitch out first. I always was consevative in how I set up my house. My promise to myself in our new house I am going to let my creativity shine in every room. The good that has come out of this move, when I was reorganizing my sewing stuff, I was able to donate a lot of my toys that I make to local charities.
Thanks again

Yes - I can feel your pain. All I can do is look at my machines at the moment, due to a couple of injuries I cannot sew, but at least I can surf the internet and try and sort my designs into some sort of order (maybe)
