I'm thinking about making/embroidery Irish Step Dance Dress.My friends keep asking, since their children are involved in Irish dance.Any words of wisdom as to where to begin.Or is it just a dream?

The only ones that I've seen were either on television or at Busch Gardens where there were performances at a theater in the Ireland area. They were lovely, but might take a large machine and lots of planning. I'd advise lots of pictures of similar dresses, before you begin, and a good pattern for the dress, itself.

I just love those dresses - I have a friend who has 2 daughters who love Irish dancing & they have lots & lots of medals between them.
We are from the UK & those dresses are very expensive, my friend had paid £500+ UK POUNDS for 1 dress!!!!
If you are able to make theses lovely dresses then I say Go for it !!!!! Good luck & post some photo's of the finished product - so many hours of embroidering goes into these dresses !!!!!
