Can someone tell me what is the reason-purpose for the Flowers:870 and or the flower symbol... I hate to say it but I am clueless... I don't get it? Wendi

the 872 flowers were given to you by other cuties, you can give someone a flower by clicking on the little flower at your question,your answer or your project.And when you do; you see the color of the flower change. For instance here they turn into orange. I just did so now you have 873 flowers.
The flowers at the projects are orange and when you click on these they turn into grey.
And it's nice to get and to give flowers, who does not love the smell of lovely flowers.Hope this answers your question.
