We are getting excited here in B.C. It is Olympic Games opening day and we have rain.

The coverage has been wonderful. You're very lucky to be close. My congratulations to all Canadians on a wonderful Olympics!

Beautiful opening ceremonies. We have light snow here in the Niagara area of Ontario.

I am here in Vancouver and am about to go walk about to see some of the game sites and see some free entertainment. I too liked the opening ceremonies and wow can K D Lang ever sing.

She has a terrific voice!! It was great to see "home grown" talent! The ceremonies were wonderful..makes one proud to be Canadian!!

What a wonderful opening cermony, and a lovely tribute to a wonderful athelete. My prayers are with his family and team mates.

I am hoping the cold but sunny and beautiful weather here in Ontario goes backwards and visits you in BC for the rest of the Olympics. We are very excited here in Ontario too. Frannie

Yes it is so exciting! I was hoping that the rain would hold off for a bit but at least everyone won't have to wear heavy parkas! Here in Cranbrook B.C. we have sun today and it is quite mild.
