I think that janome machines are great, but I sold my 900 because I wanted a bigger embroidery area.

Wish I could help Deb but I know nothing about Janomes. You'll get some good advice here though cause a lot of them do have janomes. *

Hello Deborrahr, not knowing how much and how it has been used, but for most if it has been serviced regularly, difficult to say. I have got the same model - 4 yrs old - working well. I love the extra embr area. I you have a got relationship with your dealer ask him/her advise. Good Luck! Mary

I have the same machine and love it. I bought mine off of ebay for around $1000. I know the new 350e are selling for around $900 at my dealer. So yes I think $1500 is a good deal as long as it is in good working order. You might want to check ebay for what the Janome 10001 is selling for there first be fore you buy it.

I looked on ebay and the 10000 is going
for $910. with free shipping. I guess
I think $1,500 is alot for a macine
that is 5 yrs old. And I almost sure
it has never been serviced.

I have had this machine for 10 years now great machine very versatile but would go and price it and the newer models up in the shops first and ask the questions there that is what I did.
