Our animal families are no less precious because they are animals, they give us unconditional love, companionship and laughter and they ask nothing in return but a place in our hearts that some of us readily give, only to suffer unbearably when they are lost to us, as they inevitably must be, since none of us can live forever.
Each one is special, each one has their own unique personality and each one takes with them another piece of our heart when they leave.
My thoughts are with you dear friend and your precious Minou will not suffer, because you loved her enough to, selflessly, set her free when she needed to go.
She is still with you because she will always be in your heart.
