Reading other Cuties thoughts (???Hahaha!) about Christmas, I would love to know how it is celebrated in each of our areas around the world! I think that would be real wonderful! Thanx Judy!

in Spain where I am at the moment they very mcuh celebrate Christmas. Here all the family come together on christmas eve, fish is the treat that day.
They have Christmas day but no boxing day. Presents are given 6th of January, the 3 kings is a big occasion.

Personally we will fly to the UK and spend Christmas day with our son and daughter in law. Usually approx 15 persons sit down to dinner, lunch time with christmas crackers, turkey and a table full of all sorts of food. There is always a Christmas tree too with presents under the tree, they use mostly coloured lights in the uk. Boxing day we all get together as well for the day, is always salad, hams etc.
Let some other Dutch girl explain what they do in Holland I hope, have left there many many years ago.

Judy, in Japan we dont celebrate Christmas like other places, as many of us are not Christians, but the illumination everywhere is just gorgeous. My son sent me these pictures 3 days ago from the main train station in Chita city, Aichi prefecture. Considering that is a very small city, it feels like the Christmas spirit is there. The biggest celebration is in New Year, "oshogatsu", the country stops for greeting News Years wishes. My last Christmas in Australia was not good, hopefully I will have a good one this year. :) It's interesting to know how is the celebration around the world. Blessings,Yoriko

I spend Christmas eve at my daughter's house. We open gifts from each other. I stay overnight and then Santa's presents on Christmas day. We have our big meal Christmas Eve so we don't have to take time to do the work on Christmas. We just enjoy the kids. We usually have pancakes in the morning I have 2 trees in my apartment. My 2 grandsons decorated one and I did the other one in purple and white. It is gorgeous. I put white lace ornament I made on it

Well, we for one do a huge christmas party around the 15th for all the relatives...Potluck dinner and
white elephant gifts...just visit with everyone.....then Christmas day one of the brothers or sister will have the family dinner where just part of the family gets together...we usually draw names and open gifts on Christmas Day...Prayers of Thanks to the LORD ALMIGHTY for the blessings and generosity of letting us all be together again...A christmas tree in the house and the yard full of christmas decor is usually what goes on here at Beavercreek, Oregon.....

Sorry about the double. I will start this by saying I am from mixed nationalities, (as most Americans are) We celebrate Christmas with a Christmas tree, ornaments piled on it, and garland around it, Nativity Scene under tree, and presents. We open 1 gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Morning, after breakfast. We always drive around and look at all the outside Christmas lights that others put up and ooh and awww over them, while drinking hot chocolate. We hang stockings and tease each other about what we may get in them. We don't send out as many Christmas cards as we used to, because of cost! We listen to Christmas music all day, and enjoy family, as much as we can.
