2765Back to the top! I've added a link to a map called World Cuties. Follow Dolly's directions, see if you can add yourselves. It's a moderated map, so you won't see yourself show up until I allow the marker, I think. I just want to make sure we're all Cuties, rather not have any porn stars try to add themselves to the map, it's public after all & people are crazy, I've found.
Understand, please, that I truly don't know quite how I did this, and I surely don't know how it works. I DETEST the sites like Facebook, etc. and am not the least bit intuitive about how to use things like this map, but I tried because it seemed like something y'all would like. Hi, Lee. Yes I've been to Creative Sewing, but it has been years. Don't know Linda. Guess if I had a Viking I might. I have a Brother machine that my son bought me for my birthday almost three years ago. I have sewn for years and done hand embroidery and cross stitch but never thought that machine embroidery could be affordable. Guess everything gets a little cheaper the longer it's out. Well, I've been hooked ever since. This site has been a great deal of help for a newbie. I've learned a lot. Classes would have been nice but time is hard to come by these days. I seem to spend far too much of it on the computer. But I guess that's educational too. Thanks for your post and feel free to give a shout out anytime you want. Denise

Now, please understand that I am computer illiterate when it comes to this kind of thing, so I actually am not sure how I did it, or how you would go about signing up to put your location on. Hey Marj, I got on the map and added myself, if you click on the upper right corner, "Add a marker" you will be asked to log in or register, easy to do. Then you are asked for a name for the marker, I said cutie Dollygk then uploaded my picture which has to be ok'd by the map owner. Easy my dear and who said only the younder would figure it out, i'm 64 this year but then I LOVE computers! Everyone give it a try and add yourselves!

57801Denise, there was a huge post on this very subject quite a few months back. A lot of people added their locations there, but the post is way way back in the pages. Even if we do it again here, it's still going to get lost in the back pages. The absolute best way for people to let other people know where they are is to put it in your profile, that way it's always in the same place. The only other thing I could think of to do would be for each country to make a separate post, and evryone in that country could post what area they're from under that post. I suspect that could still be a problem, since I'm sure you'd get a lot of replies like "how interesting", or "I'm not from France, I'm from Switzerland". I still think the profiles are the best place to put this information. You don't have to give your e-mail or anything, just city, state or province, and country. I think it would be neat to have a map of some sort we could all look at, and see where the Cuties are. Yeah, good luck with that one, hee hee hee. Hugs, Marji

After I posted last night, I did go in and update my profile with some information. I hadn't really taken the time to look around and figure out how to do it. I'm gonna go to the link you put in for the map and try that now. What amazes me is that it really is a small world and there are a lot of people out there that do enjoy some of the same things. Thanks for all your info and it appears that there are a few people who come on this site that are near where I live. Goody, maybe I can make some sewing pals!
