wow! that sure was a long time. I do not think I could ever go that long for repairs. My dealer usually has it back to me within a week or 10 days. glad to hear it is done and hope it is sewing really good for you

A long time to wait. Hope everything is working now. Was this your dealer?

Glad to hear your machine has been finally repaired. What was the reason for such a long repair time?
Hopefully the bill was not as big as the wait. It is so important to have faith in ones sewing machine dealer and to know they produce quality work. I was in the shop I use last weekend. It is a 2 hour drive each way and a discussion started about repairing machines and if I am correct for Brother the dealer/repairer attends a repair course and gets a certificate to prove they can work on the specific machine the course was on. I have local friends who think I am mad to go so far for a machine service. I know I am not mad as I get quality work, and I have total faith in the shop. I also know there is no one local who can repair my machine

I have just read previous postings by you and see that the machine spent ages at the shop, came back without the repair and then has gone back. There has to be another repair shop somewhere to you who will be giving a better service

Glad you have your machine back...did you ask why it took sooooooo long to get it repaired? I hope it works great for you.

I took mine in the last week in August to have the threader replaced and just got it back yesterday. I called and told them I would come and pick it up because I had a lot of just regular sewing to do and needed the machine so I would just thread it manually till the part came in. I have a PR600 so embroidery wasn't a problem but guess what, I got a call the very next day that the machine was ready. I had checked with another place that I wasn't sure did repairs and they said bring it in and it will be ready in a few days. Said there is no way it should take that long to get that part. I don't know what these merchants think when they do this to the consumer. I'll be going elsewhere next time.

I can imagine that you are glad to have your machine back, but as mops said, it took a long time for a repair.

I am glad you'll have it back, but shocked that it took 5 months. Did you dealer offer you a temporary replacement? Mine always does - although it never took more than a couple of days to have things fixed.
