I lost 2.25 lbs and I am so amazed with that result as I had the flu and was far from active the last seven days. I did eat wisely though and again, no snacking between meals and no fattening foods. No, wait a minute, we had hamburger and chips one night, again it was real hamburgers, not the imitations sold by fast food chains.

OK, now it's time to do some digitising for a friend, after I upload that quilt photo to projects.

Hugs n roses to all, Meganne

Way to go Ronny both you and your Daughter. We all need to get fitter and it is so much easier when you have someone to share the goal with. I commend you both.
Have you had your medical check up yet?

OK - you cuties are doing great. I have lost so much weight that my weight loss has slowed down considerably. I am only down a pound, but I have increased my walking activities, and cut back on some of the snacking, and stopping to buy dinner because I am tired. Keep it going, you all, you are inspiring me to try to make it to my goal.

Hang in there Dlonna, you can pass the plateau you seem to have reached. Those take away meals are really deadly, even the ones supposed to be "healthy" have additives that fresh food doesn't, so I would look in that direction.

LOLOLOL!!! But what about those Dutch bickies??? hehehehe!
Your steps are great, you're so close to that elusive 10,000.
Maybe you should come up here to sew on Tuesday and you can get on the walker for a few minutes too.

I vaccuumed the house today and did the washing but only managed 1998 steps, I did sleep until 1pm though.
Been having pc problems today and trying to sort that out while I was cleaning house.

We're going shopping Sunday so i'll do more steps then.

Wonderfull Meganne, I am so glad that you are already feeling the benefit of eating healthy.
I have stayed the same, but are also feeling better, and hope to lose some this coming week. I have actually made a appointment to see my Dietitian (spelling ? ) on Monday, and know it will go better from then on. Must just get into the right things again.
Have also started to walk short distances (I am very unfit) again.
Will go and see that quilt as soon as I am finished here. Have not been able to do much on mine this last 3 weeks, but hope to have more time next week.
Keep up the good work.
Hugs and God bless.

Meganne this is to funny!!!!My daughters boyfriend gave her a membership for Curves, she went there, real excited...and found that the members were all over 55 ladies, she was like a baby there, after working out they get together to crochet and do hand embroidery...he is a little on the jealous side, I think. Now she wants me to go with her and I told her about all my medical problems and quickly she said "don't worry moommy there all are just old ladies like you".She had lost so much weight she looks again like she did when she was 18, but mainly by not eating out and the boyfriend is also 6 years younger so.....Excercise really helps, LOL.

Good for you Meganne. I am so glad you are able to stick with it. I adopted a German Shepherd that is forcing me to walk 3 times a day. Minus 2 pounds over the 2 weeks.

OH I do so love bagels with cream cheese and jam. Luckily they don't make them as nice in Australia as they are in the States or I would have a lot more to lose. hehehehe!
Enjoy your holiday, you can work a little harder when you get home.

Oh, meganne you will love a place here in Houston, it is own by two brothers and they have the best bagels in the world, I just love the plain ones with cream cheesse and blackberry jam.

meganne by meganne 03 Oct 2009

Oh Yum, that sounds just the way I like them too and blackbery jam is a favourite. I haven't had any jam for 4 weeks but I know as soon as I lose enough weight to start exercising again, I will be able to have such little treats occasionally.

I FOUND IT...just so none of you have to look for the weight that Meg lost...It must have floated cross the earth on those dusty winds....cuz here it is...ALL over me!!! I gotta quit skipping meals...seems like IF I do then I OVER eat!!! Thanx for the encouragement:)

You nailed it Barb. When you skip meals your body thinks there is a famine so it stores more fat to help get you through it. Then we compound the problem by suddenly being so hungry we eat the first thing we can lay our hands on and that's usually something fattening like biscuits or candy bars, instead of a lovely fresh crunchy apple or carrot.

Do you know that once your palette gets used to eating healthier foods you will no longer crave sweets or fats? And that usually only takes about a week.

And I must fess up but I don't want anyone being upset with me, PLEASE.

I actually started my health challenge four weeks ago on September 1st and so far I have lost 11 & 1/4 lbs in four weeks. I reached a very important goal today to get under 12 stone and when I got off the scales I was cheering and clapping and jumping for joy at my small achievement, it felt so good I could have cried. I haven't been under 12st 9lb in over two years.

1 stone is 14 lbs so i weighed 177 lbs at only 5 ft 2 ins short and I felt disgusted with myself! Now, today, I KNOW I can do it!!!!

And if I can do it, anyone can!

Hugs n love, SIS
