a very performant software. I am looking for a good software which could classify the designs as in a database. For instance, if I need a flower, I ask for flowers designs and if I need a frame with flowers, I ask Frame+flower. Do you do if this kind of software exist for embroidery designs ? Or something similar ? Or am I dreaming.... Hugs

Your 4-D does everything you are dreaming for, but you need to take the time to learn it. This is a very expensive program, you paid alot of money for it, and now learn to use it. (or sale it on ebay) 4D organizer searches, views, prints a catalog and converts to other embroidery formats, converts embroidery to a picture, and makes a HTML Catalog--quite a powerful program--but in my opinion, a steep learning curve. In your User's Guide, follow the QuickStart Exercises--doesn't take long. When you open your designs, you can add an unlimited number of words to describe the design, so when you are looking for a particular design, just type in 1 matching word and bingo! OR, when you download, be sure you download to the file, (which you have named something that makes sense to you) Here's a link to 3 tutorials, for your viewing enjoyment! Be sure to watch the one on "notes"

I'm sure it's out there somewhere. But I got an external drive for my files & made up my own folders of catagores that make sense to ME! Then in each folder there are sub-folders...like in the "flowers" folder I have different kinds of flowers (iris, dogwood, daisy, etc) as well as flower frames, etc. It works for me and I often download straight to the file folder where I will store it. Of course you DO need to go thru and unzip them!! Hope this helps. I DO sometimes put a file in 2 different places in order to find it quickly if it pretains to 2 different things.

Okay you opened a new can of worms as my mother use to say. I am not a computer geru. So I am gonna ask. When one downloads a file and it is not zipped how do I get it straight to the folder where I want to store it. Told you I am not a computer Geru. So please help me!! and too if it is zipped, I do know how to unzip a file. Thanks for helping me. I just download and copy and paste, I must admit I have lost a few designs that way.
