bastingstitches. Go to the link below and clkick on the following text on that page and you can download in several formats.

If you fear that you might gum up your machine, you can try pinning the fabric to the stabilizer, then use a basting design to hold the fabric and stabilizer together. Be sure to use a basting design that is larger than your embroidery design. You can download an assortment of basting designs by clicking here. This works best with fabrics that do not stretch.

Hi Iris,

The only problem with downloading "STOCK" stitch files is that they may not be totally accurate as each machine has it's own little idiosyncrassies, so may stitch too close to the hoop (sometimes the needle can even run right into the hoop, depending on the machine's Boundary warning capability) or too close to the design, which can happen anyway even with a specifically created stitch file.

The difference here is, that when I create each basting stitch design, for each person's machine, they can test it and I can make changes to perfect the basting stitch to better suit their machine & hoop. IT is no effort for me to 'perfect' a stitch file for someone.

My offer has no limitations, it has been, and will be available for everyone, for as long as I am still digitising.

My only requirement is that people remember it is a REAL person they are writing to and if I receive emails with, (just sizes & format), no salutation, greeting, signature, or common courtesy, I feel upset at being treated like a nothing.

Which I am sure you will all understand.

Hugs n roses, Meganne
