Kazza, I think what Deb (dkjack) is talking about is doing a long satin stitch, but "anchoring" it at the end you don't want loose with the bean stitch, not go around the whole stitch. A bean stitch is also called a triple stitch, just three little stitches one over the top of the other. Cuties, please let me know if I'm wrong on this fringe idea, I'll take a look at one of Veronika's designs in my software tomorrow to be sure. Best of luck, Kazza. Hugs, Marji
Thanks Marji, appreciate your help asI don't want to muck it up. Will look for your answer tomorrow
We'd love to see the result in Projects when you get it done! Thanks to Deb for the answer. And wow, Eva, those books at John Deer are expensive! Hugs, Marji
I found 2 quotes from embroidery books and a CD for sale at John Deers site (60$, Wow.)
Thank you for the info, you ladies are a great help, could call you walking encyclopedia's! Flowers for all.
kazza, dkjack (Deb) gave you the right answer - so I will give you a *
It is a wide satin stitch, but it is anchored with triple or bean stitch to hold one edge of it in place.
thanks - so do the wide satin stitch and then go round it with a triple stitch and that would be enough to hold it in place? and what is a bean stitch?
good question Kazza, while I can't help you I will give you a flower and bump you to the top!
Blessings!
