I'm so tickled girls I can't stand it! Last year, I traded my Singer in for a brand new Ellisimo by Baby Lock (which I love, love, love).... but i desperately wished I had another machine I could use for sewing only. I had been eyeing a simple sewing machine at my dealer but just couldn't muster up the cash to make the purchase (can't even say money is tight 'cause that statement assumes I have money to begin with! LOL).

Anyway, my friend called me yesterday and said she was on her way down to the dealer to buy yet another machine (Brother Quattro) and was going to trade her Esante in... next thing I know, she called me and said she didn't have to use her Esante as a trade in and asked me if I wanted to buy it for a ridiculously low price! Not only did I pick this machine up for pennies, but she's letting me make payments (I'll have it paid off in 3 months I'm sure)! So basically, I got another sewing machine that embroiders a 6x10 hoop too!

While picking it up last night, she sent me home with a Rowenta iron, lots of fabric and more goodies! I'm almost embarrassed to tell you all how much I paid for this machine! She bought it new for 3,000 about 9 months ago (and she worked a deal with the dealer to get that, since it was a cash sale).

I just can't believe it! The good LORD has been so good to me my friends. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Since I retired, looks like my SE will be my last one. I would love the Diamond but my husband said I'd have to go back to work for that one. That won't happen anytime soon. Maybe one day when I really get bored. Just fishished 2 years of retirement and I haven't seen boredom yet!

LOL... sounds like my Mom. She retired in January, but she does make her daily 1-2 hour phone call to me each morning. I told her she may want to think about getting a part time job... I can't entertain her past 8 am. :-)

Teri, you are indeed blessed and I am so happy for you - that is a wonderful machine and if she bought it 9 months ago - it is like new - you will find yourself using it as an embroidery machine, as well as a sewing machine - no sense in wasting space - if you have a job that you want to finish up fast - just get the Ellismo and the Escante running at the same time - how much fun can that be? Plus you can embroider and stitch on the one or the other - have fun working on all those projects and we do look forward to viewing them on in projects, soon. *4U

Thank you Shirlene... I'm so excited! Can't wait to have both running at once. Now I just need to find the time... oy vey!

shirlener88 by shirlener88 19 Aug 2009

OH the time is there - you just have to organize it - so you can use it. Hehehe!

simplyrosie by simplyrosie 19 Aug 2009

I actually did last night. :-) Was embroidering my quilt blocks on the Ellisimo and sewing them together on the Esante. :-) Jim just moved some furniture before he left this afternoon so when I go home, I hopefully will have both machines sitting next to one another.

Oh Teri, I am so thrilled for you. What fun to have all those sewing machines. I gave my first Husqvarna embroidery machine to my younger daughter and she hasn't had a chance to use it too much yet, but I know she will.

So happy that you have a bigger hoop too - just think of all those lovely embroideries you can do now.

God is good and he answers our prayers. And thank God for all our friends.

Love and blessings Chris

Oh Chris, I just can't believe the blessing.. my Ellisimo has an 8x12 hoop and all I wanted was a sewing machine (wihtout embroidery)... here I was blessed with one that does embroidery and a large hoop size! I can have both machines running for my holiday presents. I shake my head and often wonder WHY GOD wants to bless me so... oh I'm just so happy I can't stand it! Woo hooo! :-)
