Someone in her family made her the sweetest gift. They made awonderful fuzzy pink blanket and embroidered the names of all her family and friends. They told her that when she is covered in this blanket she can know that she is covered in their love and prayers. I thought that was such a great gift.

If you join Stitching for Pink, total cost only $5, donated to breast cancer research, you can download all the projects and free designs, 2 sizes each, donated there. So far there are 9 projects and the designs for them are fabulous!
It's a great cause and promises great things, they want a million members worldwide, I certainly hope they achieve that goal.

This is my favourite, I put it on the back of my wheelchair when we did the Mother's Day Classic Walk for bc.
It's the one from Urban Threads and it stitches out really well.
Please tell her the main thing is to stay positive, cancer is NOT a death sentence, she can beat it.
I will pray for her.
Hugs and blessings, Meganne

I'll certainly keep this young girl in my prayers.

My best friend has breast cancer and now has it in her spine too. It's a long battle but she is always positive.

God be with you and what a wonderful gift of a "fuzzy" blanket for her from the family and friends.

Love and blessings Chris

Hi
I am battling cancer myself. Big tumor in my leg the size of a tissue box top it was removed on 1/21//10 & it metastasized to my lung by 8/27/10 coughing up blood. Had that removed 9/30/10 last week. I am a 66 yr old woman & please tell your friend to check out her kind on cancers on the Internet. So many of us beleive the doctors that just want to treat us & not cure us because of the money involved. I had 6 weeks of radiation on my leg because they said I needed to do it & it is now always swollen & is just about useless from the radiation. I have started going to a Naturopathic doctor to boost my immune system with herbs & changing my diet, as I do not plan on having radiation on my lung....Chemo does not work on my kind of cancer & even if it did I would not take it as quality of life is better than quantity & being sick all the time. Course that is my opinion...but I also watched my dad suffer with radiation on his lung. Had I know then what I know now I would have told him not to have it as he only had one lung, they could not operate & it was going to get him anyway. Anyway getting back to the Naturopathic doctor..I have always been told you are what you eat. I know two ladies here that 1 had breast cancer a hygienist & the other one a retired nurse had thyroid cancer 1st & then lung cancer & neither took any treatment for it, just had it removed...the hygienist was told she needed to have the radical mastectomy but refused & said just take the tumor out. She searched her kind of cancer on the Internet & started going to the Naturopathic doctor that she has referred me to. It has been over 5 yrs for her & no signs of cancer in her. The one that is the retired nurse that did nothing not even changing her diet has been 5 yrs for her. They both are closer to my age around in their late 50's. This girl in your church is a lot younger & should fight this cancer with all her might. All of her friends, family & church members should create a prayer chain for her as GOD works in mysterious ways & prayer does work. I will also pray for her. Maybe you can copy & past this to an email & print it out for her to read. She really needs backing in this awful time of need. You can not give up the fight when you get cancer. It is a wallop of a blow when they tell you that you have it. Sincerely, Alta (aka 1allamericangirl)

Now I think if anyone can make you a design it would be a cutie on this site that has a digitizer. I myself do not have one. Godd Luck I hope someone makes one for you. Yes the blanket made for her was made with love & prayers.

The fuzzy pink blanket is a wonderful idea; did you plan to embroider the fight like a girl on a similar article? Bless you for helping this young woman. My prayers are with you and with her and her family.
Sorry that I don't have a link.

Oh my! she will b in my prayers & I think the blanket was a marvelous idea. I'm sure some of our wonderful QTs will have some great ideas for u & perhaps even one of the digitizers who are so generous will be willing to do something for u. She is so young to fight this battle & it will definitely b a war. Ask or beloved Meg she really knows what it's all about & she is a winner. *4U
