I have had FSL designs for well over a year maybe two and had not tried it yet, but after seeing all the lovely FSL everyone had been doing on the project page, I voued to try this week end...Well I have been re constructing all the screens for my daughters house (in the sewing room) So tonight I thought I would try one and see how it went. It was perfect for working on the screens, as I could get it started; mostly white and it could sew while I screened. It turned PERFECT! I quickly loaded 4 in to my 8x8 hoop and started more. I have already loaded 6 ornaments into my 8x11 hoop and will do those this week end. I am hooked. So I know I will have sets of FSL ornaments for all the kids families at Thanksgiving. Thanks to all of you for inspiring me.

It sure doesn't take long to get addicted, does it? LOL! I put it off for so long, too, but once I tried it, I was addicted! Next... you'll have a burning desire to purchase every FSL design you see. Have fun!

Isn't it fun? Once you get up the nerve to try it, seems like you're hooked right away! I love to watch the FSL patterns stitch out, to start from nothing on stabilizer that IS nothing when you get it wet, hee hee hee, and end up with a finished piece that hangs together, whoopie!! Isn't it amazing what these machines and talented designers can do? I remember being a kid sewing, and being amazed when my Mom got a machine that would zig-zag! And now, FSL, wow. Enjoy decorating your tree. Sorry, I have a little "hoop envy" here, my largest field is 5x7. What kind of machine do you have? Hugs, Marji

I have just upgraded to my Janome 11000SE. I love it my largest hoop is 8x11 and I have a 8x8 that I can't wait to use for quilting...I just need to make a quilt with 8x8 blocks...Darn another project!

Oh one more thing, by turning the ornaments to different angles I can get 6 in my 8x11 hoop....life doesn't get much better....hee hee

I guess that is why I liked counted cross stitch....you took something blank and made a picture with only floss....knitting and crochet the same way.

Yes, I can see myself doing more and more shopping. I have decided I am more of a collector than stitcher....as I could never stitch all I have bought, plus all the free one...YEP CAN WE SAY COLLECTOR!

PLEASE don't wait any longer. Just use 2 layers of water soluable, I used the same thread top and bobbin and hoop really tight! You can't miss. If I can you can and so on and so on. Like I said I saw these here on the project page when looking back through the pages...they inspired me to try and I am so glad I did!

Congratulations Peggy, isn't it a beautiful sewing medium? I have only been doing it for a few months and was inspired by Shirlene on this site.

Well done and I hope to see some of your work in the Projects section.

By the way welcome to Cute

Love and blessings Chris
