sympathy after the loss of my husband 4 months ago. After

telling you about my troubles, having shingles etc., I realised
that I missed out another one that gave me grief. A trojan had infected my PC, and it had to go in to be repaired. Without the computer, I couldn't use my embroidery machine. The chap who
cleared the PC said the trojan had been sent in via one of those
little smiley faces, I think they are called emoticons. It's a problem now to know whether it is safe to open an e-mail, as
there is no knowing whether one of those happy faces are there,
until you actually open it, and then it could be too late. Thanks
to all of you for your very kind messages. Pat

Pat, I am so sorry to hear about you loss of Ron, that has to be such a shock for you - I am glad that you have been visiting with your sons. All the stress is what caused shingles, too. You will be in my prayers and hope to see your projects, soon. *4U

Oh dear Pat, I feel so bad that I have not been here enough to have read about your terrible loss. I truly understand how you feel and my heart goes out to you. Losing any loved one is hard enough but losing your beloved life partner is devastating.

I hope and pray with all my heart that your pain will ease in time and that life is made bearable by the knowledge that in time you will be reunited with your Darling Husband.
Sending an Angel to comfort you.
Love and sincerest sympathy, Meg

Pat, it is indeed a problem to know what's in an e-mail from anyone. I know I probably have offended friends who mean well, but I have my e-mail set to automatically delete any forwards before they even reach my machine. The cute forwarded messages are the ones which most often are infected. Especially the ones that say 'return this to me', there are trackers in those messages very often to see who responds, who forwards, etc. I won't have them on my machine. My late husband was a computer guru who taught me many things, and I follow his advice. I also don't use any of the 'messenger' services because of the same reason. I realise my attitude is offensive to some, but on the other hand, I've never had to take my computer in to be fixed, either. This machine is too valuable to me to risk infection with viruses, etc. just to view cute pictures in an e-mail, or to go everywhere on the web in search of free designs. So, I don't have many friends, hee hee hee, but no viruses, either. Ask your PC guy to recommend good virus protection. I personally use McAfee, and it has taken care of the few things I've picked up along the way.

Condolances again on the loss of your husband, Pat. It's been almost 2 years for me since Bud died, and I still miss him every day. I hope you're coping all right, I know how hard it is, as do some of the other Cuties. Be well, hugs, Marji
