This site also contains directions for hand smocking, what is called North American or Canadian smocking, not English. That's what is used in the flower center. I've been looking for these directions for ages!!! Great accidental find, thanks so much Eva!!! Hugs, Marji

Wow! I liked it up to the making the lining and zipper part, hee hee hee. I think I'd make the petals of the rose, then attach them to one of those already made totebags for recycling, hee hee hee. I love the effect, not into that much work to achieve it. Beautiful design, though, I admire people who can do these things!! Hugs, Marji

Wow! I d/l the instructions. :) I can think of ways to add embroidery to the flower to enhance it.
