Has anyone else had problems with Coats and Clark Embroidery Thread?.....especially on an Innov-is4000D? This is the second time my machine has ended up in the shop after using this thread. The first time I thought it was operator error. I figured that I had done something wrong. I'd really appreciate your input. I'm so frustrated. These repairs are very costly. TIA and flowers to all just because it will make ME feel better. ****

I have a designer 1 and I use coats and Clark embroidery thread all the time. I like it better than some of the really high priced threafs. All I use is Coats and Clark and Sulky.Never had thread problems. What happens when you use it?

I have an Innovis 4000D and I have used the Coats and Clark thread with out a problem. I started using the bobbin case with the pink on the outside and it pretty much took care of any thread issue. So far, anything I use is doing just fine. It could be just that spool of thread. There is always a bad apple.

I have not used that brand, so far I have only used one thread brand which was the first my husband gave me as gift with my machine. I guess he did his homework beacause to today's date I am sticking to the same brand. I recommend you check with your dealer and see what do they suggest.

Thank you very much. I'll also stick to the same brand of thread that has worked for me in the past. I bought the C&C brand, locally, because I was eager to finish a project. They say that life is a learning experience. I'm learning alot.....the hard way.LOL ***

I,too, have a Viking and have no trouble with C&C. However, the black DOES break. BUT I read on here that black thread is weaker due to the dyeing process & suggested you use a dark gray. But I do know some machines do better with certain threads.

No, I've never used it. I just bought the brand that my dealer suggested I use for my machine when I got it new and have never had "thread" problems. I did find a place I can purchase it in bulk and cheaper.;)

Thanks for the input. I usually use Madeira thread without any problems. I was out of "red" so decided to buy locally as I was in a hurry to make a welcome gift for my neighbors. I won't make that mistake again. Hugs ****
