What a lovely picture, you for sure had a nice time together. With these lovely fabrics something beautiful will be made, I'm sure!
Ok just curious, here in the u.s. if you shop in a quilt shop the fabrics run aprx $10 a yard, what are the prices there??
It was only my first time shopping there, but the materials I purchased ranged from $12.95 to $24.95 a metre.
I thought they were expensive, but what do I know? LOL!
A lady on one of my other groups told me about a store in the US: Mary Jo's Fabric Store in Gastonia, NC. where you can shop online if you are ok purchasing fabrics this way.

There are a LOT of online fabric stores here!!! it will be ANOTHER addiction!!!
I am fortunate to live within a couple hours drive from Mary Jo's. I have been there once and spent a TON of money - could have bought more but I was exhausted.
Wow, you are so lucky, i did an online virtual tour of the shop and was positively drooling. LOL!!!
Worse luck they only ship Global Priority to Aus and that's the most expensive postage option available.
Oh well, i'm afraid i'm one customer they won't have and that's material I won't get. :-(((
I'll have to keep looking as I want to buy some Michael Miller Fairy Frost.
hugs n roses, m
I am so glad you 2 had fun...hold me back girls, think I will hit the fabric store tomorrow...Like I need another piece of material...My walk in closet is not a walk in any more....I have material everywhere and can't ever open the door half way...
Well done good and faithful friend. It's great to see Meg looking so alive and enjoying herself. I love fabric shops. I'll have to come down and we'll do a "day" of it. LOL I might come home with more than I bargained for. I already have a cupboard full, I don't need anymore - well I suppose there's always room for a little more! Thanks for sharing this picture.
Love and blessings Chris
Maybe we can all get together for the craft show at Rosehill in August!!
Now wouldn't that be something.

What a brilliant idea Meg. I'd love to - do you have the dates yet? I'd have to take a day off work I think - it just depends on which end of the week it is. I'll send you a PM. Love and blessings Chris

Hey there, I love fabric shops too. I have found some really good priced fabrics in different places I have lived & been to. Yes I live north of Sydney, NSW. Australia. I find the "Asian shops have very good priced goods for one, if you get out to Cabramatta way, there are some great shops there...or there used to be. The is (was) one in Penrith, in the main street too. Most larger suburbs have one of these shops around. Another way I get my fabric at bargain prices is to go to the Op shops, St. Vinnies, Salvos... They usually have some fabrics, sometimes a heap, or maybe the local markets. For example I picked up a lge shopping bag FULL of new fabric including calico, lge mitre amounts for a total of $10. also for a very warm quilt I have bought the pure wool blankets (were from army or hospital) at the op shops. They cost all of $6-8 each. Just check for holes, believe me..... The blanket instead of wadding is VERY warm.
Anyway, I thought you'd like to know those things.
