I'm wondering how you make toilet paper cuffs. Do you slide them over the roll or velco them in the back? Any instructions would be helpful. TIA.

I have made quite a few and close with velcro at the back, but have indeed found that all toilet rolls are different in size lol. I have put a lovely ruched trim on the top matching colours of bathroom. Really finishes it off.

Thanks for asking. I have always just embroidered directly on the TP. :)

Measure the size toilet paper roll you want adding 2 inches to the FINISHED size. Place velcro on the edges to close it over the toilet paper. (the velcro will allow you to "cheat" on the size of the roll a bit)

Good answer, Jerrilyn. Early on, I found out brands measure differently. As a general rule I cut felt strips 4 1/2" wide by 18" long. You can always trim a little off the long end if the overlap is too great. I too use velcro to fasten. I buy the cello bags 5 in.X 11.25 in. at Michaels. They are called treat bags. I tie with craft ribbon. If you mess one up, only felt involved, no crying loss!!!

I didn't make covers either, I also embroider on the TP. But someone will give you an answer on your Question, I'm sure of that.

Lynn, I will be honest - I have never made one - but the ones that I have viewed in the project section, seem to have a Velco closure. Good luck! *4U
